Overview

The VOLGA 310 wall light by FARO is a wall lamp designed for spaces where humidity is part of the environment. With IP44 certification, it is ready to function in the bathroom without exposure to steam or splashes affecting its performance. It is a practical solution for those looking for direct lighting above the mirror, next to the shower, or in washroom areas where light needs to reach with precision.

The lamp incorporates SMD LED technology with a color temperature of 3000K, producing warm and uniform light. This tone avoids the cold and clinical effect that other light sources sometimes create in bathrooms. The wall light comes with the light source included, so there is no need to purchase anything additional to get it up and running.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in indoor and outdoor lighting. Its products combine careful design with technical specifications intended for real domestic use.

Installation and specifications

To install this wall light, it is recommended to have an existing electrical point in the intended area. Fixing is done directly onto the wall with the corresponding anchors. Before starting, the power supply must be cut from the main panel. If there are any doubts about the wiring or connection, it is advisable to consult an electrician. The lamp accepts voltages between 100V and 240V, making it compatible with standard electrical installations.

To clean the chrome-finished aluminum body, a soft, slightly damp cloth is sufficient. Abrasive products or solvents should not be used, as they can damage the finish. The opal PMMA diffuser is cleaned in the same way. Since the wall light has an IP44 rating, it is protected against splashes, but it must not be submerged or exposed to direct jets of water.

Design and use

The body of the VOLGA 310 is made of aluminum with a chrome finish. This material provides resistance without adding weight, making installation easier and keeping the overall look visually clean. The chrome gives it a neat appearance that fits well in both modern-style bathrooms and more neutral spaces where the wall light does not need to draw attention, but simply perform its function well.

The diffuser is made of PMMA with an opal finish. This type of material distributes light evenly, without visible bright spots or harsh shadows. In the bathroom, this results in more balanced lighting above the mirror or around the washroom area. The resulting light, at 3000K, has a warm tone that is more pleasant than cool white in a space used every day.

At 310 mm long and only 40 mm tall, the wall light takes up little space and adapts well to walls with limited room. In small bathrooms, where every centimeter counts, that reduced profile is a real advantage. It weighs just 320 grams, so it does not require complicated anchoring.

The IP44 rating means it is protected against solid objects larger than 1 mm and against water splashes from any direction. This makes it suitable not only for bathrooms, but also for hallways with some ambient humidity or laundry areas. In bathrooms it can be placed next to the mirror, on the sides, or above it, depending on the wall layout.

Beyond the bathroom, this wall light can work well in hallways where a focused light is needed without installing a ceiling fixture. In such spaces, a wall lamp allows passage areas to be lit without taking up ceiling height and without the need for additional work. The chrome finish integrates easily into environments where neutral tones, white, or grays predominate.

In the bedroom, the wall light can be placed on either side of the bed as bedside reading lighting, although its horizontal profile makes it especially suitable for wider surfaces. In the living room or dining room, it can be used as complementary ambient lighting, fixed to a side wall to add depth to the space without overloading the ceiling. In the kitchen, where functionality is paramount, a wall light of this type above a work area provides direct lighting without cables or complex structures.

The 5W power is sufficient to illuminate a specific area without generating excessive consumption. The included SMD LED does not require frequent replacement, reducing maintenance to practically none.

Questions and answers

Can the VOLGA 310 wall light be installed directly above the washbasin or in the shower area?

Thanks to its IP44 rating, the wall light is protected against water splashes, making it suitable for installation in wet areas of the bathroom, including near the washbasin. It should not be placed in areas where it may receive direct jets of water.

Is the LED lamp included or does it need to be purchased separately?

The SMD LED light source is included with the product. No additional bulb needs to be purchased for it to function.

Does the chrome aluminum body require any special care to maintain its finish?

The chrome finish on the aluminum is well maintained with regular cleaning using a soft, slightly damp cloth. Abrasive products or those containing solvents should be avoided, as they can damage the surface and alter the appearance of the wall light over time.
