Overview

The SUAU wall light by FARO is a wall lamp designed for those looking for a functional light source without cluttering the space. It is specifically designed for reading areas: next to the bed in the bedroom, in a work corner, or in any room where directed light is needed without relying on general ceiling lighting.

What sets this wall light apart is the combination of elements that solve specific problems. It features an integrated switch on the base, allowing you to turn it on and off without getting up or looking for the wall switch. It also incorporates a USB port, useful for charging a phone or tablet while reading. The light it emits is warm, at 3000K, which is comfortable for the eyes during rest or extended reading.

FARO is a Spanish brand with a long history in indoor and outdoor lighting. Their products combine functionality and careful design, and are available in a wide range of styles and finishes. SUAU was designed by the Nahtrang studio, known for its minimalist and practical approach.

Installation and specifications

This wall light is fixed directly to the wall using the appropriate anchors. Before installation, it is advisable to identify the location of the cables in the wall to avoid interference. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially if it is necessary to connect the electrical wiring to the existing system. Make sure the wall surface is firm and capable of supporting the weight of the wall light without any issues.

To clean the wall light, simply use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive products or solvents that could damage the matte white finish. Always disconnect the lamp from the power supply before cleaning it. Do not expose the wall light to excessive humidity on a continuous basis, although it can be placed in well-ventilated bathrooms.

Design and use

The SUAU wall light has a body made of aluminium and steel, materials that ensure stability and durability without adding unnecessary weight. The finish is matte white, a neutral tone that pairs well with light-coloured walls, lacquered furniture, or surfaces in soft tones. In a modern bedroom or a room with a Nordic style, this wall light becomes part of the overall setting without drawing excessive attention.

The design is clean and geometric. There are no superfluous decorative elements: the lamp has a compact shape that takes up little visual space on the wall. This is especially useful in small rooms or hallways, where every centimetre counts and you do not want to overload the atmosphere with bulky elements.

The integrated LED light source emits at 3000K, a temperature that is perceived as warm and pleasant light. This type of lighting is suitable for reading without straining the eyes, and also creates a calm atmosphere in the bedroom before sleep. With 4.5 W of power, energy consumption is low without this resulting in a reduction in light quality.

The switch integrated into the base of the wall light is a detail that makes a difference in daily use. In a bedroom, for example, it allows you to turn off the lamp from the bed without having to get up. In a guest room, it simplifies use for those who are not familiar with the layout of the space.

The built-in USB port adds another level of practicality. While reading or resting, it is possible to have a phone connected and charging without the need for an additional socket. On a small bedside table or in a space where sockets are scarce, this detail proves very convenient.

SUAU can also be installed in the bathroom, as long as the placement area is not directly exposed to water. In a well-ventilated bathroom, next to the mirror or on a side wall, it works as a complementary light source. Similarly, in hallways where soft and continuous lighting is desired, this wall light fulfils its function well without being too intense.

As for integration with the rest of the interior design, the matte white body allows it to be combined with different styles. It looks good alongside natural wood elements, with textiles in beige or grey tones, or in a more modern environment with smooth surfaces and neutral colours. It is not a lamp that imposes a specific style, but rather adapts to what already exists in the space.

The compact dimensions — 170 mm in height, 97 mm in length and 140 mm in depth — make it easy to find a place for it even on walls with little free space. It does not project too far outward, which is practical in narrow hallways or next to the headboard of a double bed where lateral space is limited.
