Overview

The STAN wall light by FARO is an adjustable interior luminaire that adapts to different lighting needs. It is installed on the wall, although it can also be mounted on the ceiling as a flush light, offering more options when distributing light in a space. Its aluminium and ABS body, finished in matte black, fits well in modern interiors without drawing too much attention.

This wall light works with a GU10 LED bulb, so energy consumption is low and installation is straightforward. The ability to orient the spotlight allows light to be directed exactly where it is needed: towards a work area, a painting, a specific corner of the living room, or the headboard of a bed in the bedroom.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in indoor and outdoor lighting. Its products combine quality materials with functional design intended for everyday home use.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, make sure the wall support is secure. This model is fixed directly to the wall and requires a prior electrical connection. If you do not have experience with electrical installations, it is advisable to have an electrician do it. The GU10 LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately before switching on the lamp.

To clean the surface, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the matte black aluminium finish. Always switch off the lamp and wait for it to cool down before carrying out any maintenance.

Design and use

The STAN wall light has an elongated, compact profile that does not take up too much visual space on the wall. Its dimensions — 336 mm in length and 98 mm in height — allow it to be placed in spaces where a larger lamp would be excessive. The matte black finish gives it a discreet, modern character that does not compete with the rest of the surroundings.

The body is made of aluminium, a material that offers good resistance and low weight. Together with ABS, it forms a solid structure that withstands daily use well. The transparent polycarbonate diffuser lets light through without filtering it excessively, which is useful when you want to illuminate a specific point clearly.

One of the features that distinguishes this model within the STAN series is its ability to be oriented. The spotlight can be directed according to need: upwards to create an indirect lighting effect, downwards to illuminate a work surface, or at an angle to highlight a decorative element. This makes it a valid option for different uses within the same space.

In the living room, a wall light of this type can complement the central lighting or replace it in areas where more localised light is desired. In the bedroom, placed on either side of the bed, it frees the bedside tables from table lamps and keeps the aesthetic tidier. In the kitchen, it can be directed towards the worktop to improve visibility in that work area.

It also works well in hallways, where space is often limited and the lamp cannot protrude too much. As it is installed directly on the wall, there is no risk of knocks or interference with movement. In the bathroom, depending on local electrical regulations and the installation area, it can be used to illuminate the space next to the mirror or in areas away from the shower.

Its design fits effortlessly into modern or industrial-style interiors. Matte black is a versatile finish that works with white, grey, or dark-toned walls, and also pairs well with light wood furniture or metallic surfaces. It is not a decorative piece in the strict sense, but its presence on the wall has a visual coherence that adds to the overall look.

The option of also installing it as a flush ceiling light expands its range of uses. In rooms with low ceilings, where a pendant lamp does not fit, this model can be a practical solution without sacrificing a refined finish.

Questions and answers

Can the STAN wall light be installed on both a wall and a ceiling?

Yes. This model is primarily designed to be fixed to a wall, but it can also be installed on the ceiling as a flush light. This provides more flexibility when deciding on the location within the room.

Does the polycarbonate diffuser affect the intensity of the light emitted by the lamp?

The diffuser on this wall light is transparent, so it does not significantly filter or reduce the light emitted by the GU10 LED bulb. The illumination reaches clearly and directly towards wherever the spotlight is directed.

What type of bulb does this wall light require and is it included with the product?

This model uses a GU10 LED bulb with a maximum wattage of 5W. The bulb is not included and must be purchased separately before installing the lamp.
