Overview

The SOLE wall light by FARO is a wall lamp designed for those looking for something specific: a light source that takes up no space, fits well in any corner, and has a clear visual presence without feeling overwhelming. Its terracotta finish gives it a character of its own — warm and full of personality — without relying on materials like wood, rattan, or glass.

What sets this lamp apart is its ability to emit light to one side or both sides. This allows it to be adapted depending on the function you want it to serve: as ambient light, as hallway lighting, or as a focal point on a specific wall. One lamp, two different behaviors depending on how it is configured.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in interior lighting. Their products are designed for real domestic use, with durable materials and finishes that maintain their appearance over time.

Installation and specifications

Installing this wall light requires a power connection at the mounting point. As a surface-mounted luminaire with direct wall fixing, it does not require any additional structure. It is recommended that electrical installation be carried out by a qualified professional. The lamp does not include a bulb, so before use you will need to purchase a GU10 LED light source compatible with the indicated voltage.

The terracotta surface can be cleaned with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the finish. The bulb should not be handled while the lamp is on or while the unit is still hot. For more thorough cleaning, it is recommended to disconnect the wall light from the power supply before handling any part of the body.

Design and use

The SOLE wall light has a compact body made of aluminium and steel with a terracotta finish, a color that in recent years has gained significant ground in interior design. It is not a conventional neutral tone: it has warmth, presence, and a certain personality that sets it apart from the usual white or black. Even so, it does not clash with other materials or colors. It works well with earthy tones, light surfaces, and darker walls alike.

The size of this lamp is one of its strong points. At just 100 mm high and 65 mm deep, it is a discreet luminaire that does not cast a shadow on itself or compete with other elements in the room. In small spaces, that matters. A narrow bathroom, a hallway with little room to spare, or a bedroom where every centimeter counts are all places where this wall light fits naturally without forcing anything.

The ability to direct light to one or both sides makes this lamp a flexible tool. In a hallway, emitting light in both directions allows a larger surface to be illuminated from a single installation point. In a bedroom, directing it to one side may be enough to create a warm atmosphere next to the bed without disturbing the other side of the room. In the living room or dining room, it can be used as supplementary lighting or to highlight a specific area of the wall.

This wall light also works well in spaces such as the bathroom, where targeted lighting is particularly valuable. Placed at the right height next to the mirror, it complements overhead lighting without creating unwanted shadows. The terracotta finish, far from looking out of place in that context, adds a decorative and distinctive touch compared to more generic bathroom lamps.

In the kitchen and dining room, the SOLE wall light can be combined with other light sources to create layered lighting. It is not a lamp intended to illuminate an entire room on its own, but rather works best as part of a set. Its modern terracotta finish allows it to coexist with a variety of styles: from more understated interiors to spaces with a greater mix of textures and materials.

The weight of 0.2 kg means that wall mounting does not require any special support. The aluminium and steel structure ensures that the body retains its shape and finish for years, without deformation or visible color loss. It is a lamp built to last, without that coming at any visual or aesthetic cost.
