Overview

The OTTON wall light by FARO is a wall lamp with a linen shade in a round version. It is designed for those looking for a light source with its own character, without being too eye-catching. The locally made shade, crafted from natural materials, provides a visible texture that changes the perception of the space: the light filtered through the linen is soft, diffused, and free of harshness.

This wall light works well both in the home and in hospitality settings. It adapts to the bedroom, living room, dining room, hallway or bathroom, and also fits in hotels, restaurants and other spaces where decorative lighting is part of the overall atmosphere.

FARO is a brand with a track record in the lighting industry. Its products combine careful design with selected materials, and the OTTON wall light reflects that line: simple in appearance, but with details that are noticeable up close.

Installation and specifications

Before installing this wall light, make sure you have an enabled electrical point in the chosen area. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a certified electrician. Verify that the wall surface can support the weight of the product. Disconnect the power before starting any work. Check that the installation voltage is compatible with the product's indicated range.

The linen shade requires gentle maintenance. It can be carefully removed and cleaned with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid the use of chemical or abrasive products that could alter the natural fiber. The steel body with matte white finish is simply cleaned with a dry cloth. Do not touch the bulb with your hands when it is on or immediately after switching the lamp off.

Design and use

The OTTON wall light features a round shape with dimensions of 200 x 150 x 120 mm. It is not a bulky lamp: it takes up just the right amount of space on the wall and projects its presence primarily through the linen shade. That natural fabric, in a beige tone, has an organic texture that contrasts with the matte white steel body. The result is a balanced combination between the industrial quality of the metal and the artisanal nature of the textile material.

The shade is locally crafted from natural materials, which gives it a particular quality. It is not a mass-produced piece made with synthetic materials: linen has variations inherent to natural weaving, which means each unit has a slightly different personality.

In the bedroom, this wall light works as ambient or side reading light. Mounted at the right height next to the bed, it creates warm, localized lighting that does not flood the entire space. In the living room it can be used as a secondary light source that complements the main lighting, adding visual depth to the room.

In the dining room, a wall light like this can reinforce the atmosphere without competing with the central fixture. If the dining room has a side wall or a prominent corner, the OTTON wall light adds a layer of light that makes the space more welcoming. In the kitchen, where functional lighting is usually the priority, this wall light can act as a decorative complement in access areas or small interior hallways.

In bathrooms with sufficient space, the lamp adds a character different from the usual. The linen shade brings warmth to an environment typically dominated by cold materials. In hallways, where spot lighting makes sense for both practical and aesthetic reasons, this type of wall light marks the path without creating visual overload.

The lamp is also suitable for professional settings: boutique hotels, restaurants with a defined style, receptions or private lounges. In those contexts, the matte white finish and linen shade fit with modern design proposals or those with Nordic and natural influences. The textile material provides an organic reference that softens more heavily designed environments.

In terms of combining with other elements, the OTTON wall light pairs well with natural wood, light textiles, polished concrete finishes or earth-toned surfaces. Its beige color makes it compatible with a wide palette, both in Nordic-style interiors and in more contemporary proposals with mixed materials.

The matte white body is discreet and does not take center stage. All visual attention falls on the shade, which defines the decorative character of this wall lamp. The E27 LED bulb is not included, allowing the user to choose the color temperature that best suits the space.
