Overview

The NUBO 120 wall light by FARO is a wall lamp designed for spaces where humidity is part of the everyday environment. Its IP44 protection makes it a suitable option for bathrooms and hallways, without the need to look for alternative solutions or make concessions in terms of design. It mounts directly to the wall and takes up little space, making it comfortable even in narrow passageways.

The light it emits is warm, at 2700K, which creates a calm atmosphere without visual harshness. In a bathroom, that type of lighting changes how the space is perceived: no aggressive whites or harsh shadows, just a soft clarity that is pleasant at any time of day.

FARO is a Spanish brand with a track record in the design of luminaires for residential use. Its products combine functionality with careful finishes, designed to integrate into different types of interiors without being intrusive.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the lamp, make sure the electrical circuit is switched off at the distribution board. This wall light is mounted on the wall, so it is advisable to verify that the surface is solid and that the wiring reaches the intended fixing point. As this is a luminaire for damp areas, ensure that the connections are properly sealed and protected. The LED light source is not included, so have it ready before starting the installation. If you have any doubts about the electrical installation, it is recommended to have an electrician carry out the work.

To clean the aluminium body, use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the matte white finish. The opal glass diffuser can be cleaned in the same way, taking care not to press too hard. Do not use the lamp if you detect visible damage to the cable or housing.

Design and use

The NUBO 120 is a compact wall light with an aluminium body in matte white and an opal glass diffuser. The unit measures 120 x 120 mm and has a depth of 90 mm, making it discreet and easy to integrate without drawing too much attention to itself. It is precisely this balance between presence and simplicity that makes it versatile.

The opal diffuser distributes light evenly, without creating bright spots or harsh contrasts. In a bathroom, that type of lighting is especially useful near the mirror, where well-distributed light helps without dazzling. It also works well in hallways, where a small, well-positioned lamp can completely change the feel of the space, making it warmer and more welcoming.

The matte white finish of the body adapts easily to modern interiors, both in recently renovated homes and in spaces looking for an update without major changes. It does not impose a specific style, which allows it to be combined with different materials: tiles, wood, painted surfaces or coverings of different textures. In a bathroom with neutral tones, it blends in almost imperceptibly in an elegant way. In a darker hallway, it adds a point of light without breaking the harmony of the overall space.

Although its design is understated, the NUBO 120 has a clear presence. The cubic shape and glass diffuser give it a clean look that fits well with interiors of straight lines. It is not a decorative lamp in the showy sense of the word, but it is not invisible either. It fulfils its function with discretion and contributes to the space without diminishing its visual coherence.

Beyond bathrooms and hallways, this wall light can be used in other rooms where complementary rather than primary lighting is desired. In a bedroom, placed at the right height, it can serve as ambient or reading light. In a small dining room, it adds warmth without competing with the central luminaire. In a kitchen, it can be integrated as an additional light source in work areas or access points.

The colour temperature of 2700K places this lamp in the warm range, the same associated with relaxed and comfortable atmospheres. It is the type of light that encourages rest and makes spaces feel more welcoming, unlike cooler temperatures used in work or commercial environments. In a secondary living area or in any transitional zone of the home, that warm tone helps the space feel inhabited rather than simply lit.

Questions and answers

Can the NUBO 120 wall light be installed in a bathroom with a shower or splash zones?

Yes. It has IP44 protection, which means it is prepared to withstand water splashes from any direction. It is suitable for bathrooms, as long as it is not placed directly under the shower stream.

Is the LED light source included in the pack?

No, the LED lamp is not included. You must purchase it separately, compatible with the specifications of the wall light: SMD LED source at 220V–240V and a recommended colour temperature of 2700K to maintain warm light.

Is the body of the wall light made of plastic or another material?

The body is made of aluminium with a matte white finish. It is a more resistant and durable material than plastic, and it better retains its surface finish over time.
