Overview

The MAGRITTE wall light by FARO is an adjustable wall lamp designed to illuminate paintings, works of art, or any decorative element that deserves attention. It mounts directly on the wall and directs light exactly where needed, without visual distractions. Its matte black design is completely neutral: it does not compete with what it illuminates, it simply enhances it.

This wall light works well in living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, home display areas, or even kitchens if there are decorative pieces on the walls. The integrated 12W LED source at 3000K produces warm light that enhances textures and colors without altering the perception of the object.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in interior lighting. Their products combine functionality and formal coherence, with attention to detail and careful finishes.

Installation and specifications

For installation, the electrical wiring must be routed to the chosen point on the wall before mounting the wall light. It is recommended that the connection be carried out by a qualified electrician. Make sure to switch off the power at the electrical panel before handling any cables. The wall light is mounted directly onto the wall surface using the included anchors or ones suitable for the type of support.

To clean the lamp, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the matte black finish. Always disconnect the wall light from the power supply before cleaning it. Do not touch the LED source with your fingers if for any reason you need to access the interior.

Design and use

The MAGRITTE wall light has a long, discreet silhouette. Its 600 mm length provides good coverage for a medium-sized painting or even larger, distributing light evenly across the illuminated surface. The body, constructed from aluminium and steel, has solidity without feeling heavy: its 0.63 kg makes it easy to handle during installation.

The matte black finish is one of the most defining elements of this lamp. It does not reflect ambient light or produce glare. From any angle, the wall light stays in the background, drawing the eye directly to the artwork or illuminated object. This visual neutrality makes it a coherent choice for spaces where art occupies a central place.

The PMMA diffuser with an opal finish softens the emission from the LED source and prevents overly concentrated spots of light. The resulting light is uniform and enveloping, which aids in reading textures and nuances in paintings, photographs, or other types of pieces. At 3000K, the tone is warm, similar to traditional incandescent light, and is perceived as natural and pleasant.

In the living room, this wall light fits well above a large painting or a composition of several frames. It can also be used to illuminate a shelf with collectible objects. In the bedroom, above the headboard or next to a mirror, it adds a layer of functional light with character. In the kitchen, if there are illustrations or decorative pieces on the walls, it can be an effective and neat solution.

In hallways, where space is often limited and decoration seeks to compensate for the lack of natural light, a lamp like this adds visual depth and directs the eye to specific points. It can also be useful in bathrooms if there is framed artwork and the space has a more personal or gallery-like character.

The adjustability of the head is a practical detail not always found in wall lights. It allows the light angle to be adjusted once the wall light is installed, without needing to reposition the entire unit. This provides room to fine-tune the lighting according to the size of the object, the distance from the wall, or personal preference at any given time.

The style is minimalist, but not cold. The combination of matte black and warm light creates a refined atmosphere, compatible with modern, Nordic, or industrial-touch interiors. It does not overload the space, but complements it with precision.
