Overview

The FARO wall light is a wall lamp designed to illuminate reading areas in bedrooms, living rooms, and everyday-use rooms. Thanks to its articulated arm, the light beam can be directed wherever needed, without moving the lamp or changing its position on the wall. It is a practical solution for those looking for warm, directed light without taking up space on the nightstand or floor.

The wall light has a matte white finish and is made of aluminium and steel. The 3W LED source at 3000K emits a warm light that does not strain the eyes, suitable for reading or creating a relaxed atmosphere at the end of the day. The unit is compact and lightweight, weighing less than 300 grams.

FARO is a Spanish brand with a long track record in interior lighting. Their products are designed to combine functionality with a refined aesthetic, intended to integrate into real domestic environments.

Installation and specifications

To install this wall light, you need an existing flush-mount box or electrical outlet in the wall. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician, as it involves connection to the mains electricity supply. Before starting assembly, switch off the power at the electrical panel. The wall light is fixed directly to the wall using the included anchors, and the cable is integrated into the base. Check that the mounting surface is firm before screwing in.

To clean the lamp, use a dry or slightly damp cloth on the aluminium and steel surfaces. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the matte white finish. Do not clean the wall light while the power is connected. The included LED bulb does not require frequent replacement, but if needed, consult the manufacturer's specifications before replacing it.

Design and use

The FARO articulated arm wall light addresses a very specific need: having light exactly where it is needed, without installing a table lamp or leaving cables on the floor. In a bedroom, for example, it allows reading in bed without disturbing others. In a living room, it can be directed towards the reading armchair or a specific corner without altering the general lighting of the space.

The articulated arm is one of the most useful elements of this wall light. It allows the direction of the light to be adjusted depending on the moment or activity. This flexibility sets it apart from a conventional fixed lamp and brings it closer to a professional-use wall light adapted to the domestic environment. The joint requires no tools to adjust and holds its position once directed.

The body is made of aluminium and steel with a matte white finish. These materials provide resistance and stability without adding unnecessary weight. The white colour allows the lamp to be integrated into rooms with light-coloured walls, white or grey furniture, and in modern or Nordic-style décor. It does not compete visually with the rest of the environment, but blends in naturally.

The 3000K LED source emits warm light, similar to that of a traditional incandescent bulb, but with much lower consumption. This colour temperature is suitable for spaces where a calm atmosphere is desired: bedroom, living room, reading room, or rest areas. With only 3W of power, the lamp consumes very little energy and generates no perceptible heat on the surface.

The wall light can also work well in narrow hallways where a pendant or floor lamp would not fit. Fixed to the wall, it takes up no floor space and does not interfere with passage. In narrow corridors, it provides a directed light point without overloading the ceiling. In the bathroom, it can be used next to the mirror if the electrical installation permits and safety zones are respected in accordance with current regulations.

The design of the wall light is clean and free of decorative accessories. It does not incorporate glass, wood, or wrought iron, making it suitable for contemporary interiors where functionality is prioritised. Its compact profile, with an 80 mm base length, allows it to be installed even in small spaces without looking disproportionate. In a small room or a bathroom with little free wall space, this size is a real advantage.

The lamp comes with the light source included, which simplifies setup. There is no need to purchase a bulb separately or verify compatibility. Once the wall light is installed, it is ready to use. This detail is especially convenient when equipping an entire room and not wanting to manage additional purchases.

Overall, this FARO wall light is a solid option for those looking for practical, low-consumption lighting with the ability to direct the light. It works well in both new installations and renovations, and its neutral finish makes it easy to integrate with different decoration styles.

Questions and answers

Does the articulated arm allow the lamp to be directed in different directions, or does it only move in one plane?

The articulated arm of the wall light allows the direction of the light to be adjusted flexibly, making it easy to direct it towards different points as needed. Once placed in the desired position, it holds that position stably.

Is the included 3W LED source sufficient to illuminate a reading area?

Yes. The lamp is specifically designed for reading lighting in spaces such as the bedroom or living room. The warm light at 3000K and the directed focus of the articulated arm allow the illumination to be concentrated exactly where it is needed, without requiring more power.

Is this wall light suitable for installation in bathrooms?

To install any wall light in the bathroom, it is necessary to verify that the chosen location complies with the safety zones established by electrical regulations. This model does not indicate a specific IP protection rating, so it is recommended to consult a qualified installer before proceeding.
