Overview

COVE is a wall light made of plaster, designed for residential lighting. It suits rooms where seamless integration with the wall is desired: since it can be painted with the same paint as the wall, the lamp stops being perceived as an added object and becomes part of the surface. It is a solution designed for those who want light without the focus falling on the lamp itself.

The wall light fits well in bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and bathrooms. Its compact shape and white finish allow it to be installed without being intrusive. The light it emits is warm, at 3000K, which creates a calm atmosphere without harsh contrast with the surroundings.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in indoor and outdoor lighting. Its products combine functionality with aesthetic sensibility, and are designed to integrate into real residential projects, not just catalogues.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, check that the area of the wall where it will be fixed is solid and can support the anchor. Since the body is made of plaster, it should be handled carefully during assembly to avoid impacts. The wiring must be concealed before securing the wall light to the wall. If you have any doubts about the electrical installation, it is advisable to seek the help of an electrician.

Plaster is a porous and delicate material. To clean the surface, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the finish. If the wall light is painted along with the wall, make sure to use a paint compatible with plaster surfaces.

Design and use

The COVE wall light is made of plaster, a material that has been used in architectural finishes for decades precisely because of its ability to blend with walls and ceilings without creating visual contrast. Unlike metal or plastic wall lights, plaster has a matte texture and a density that makes it visually close to construction materials. This allows the lamp, once painted the same shade as the wall, to become virtually embedded in it.

The design of COVE is timeless. It does not belong to any particular trend, which makes it compatible with very different interiors: from spaces with clean, neutral lines to warmer environments with wood and natural textiles. It does not need to stand out to fulfil its function. Its presence is discreet, and that is exactly what many people look for when they want focused light without the lamp itself being the centre of attention.

In the bedroom, a wall light of this type works well as ambient light or as a complement to the main lighting. Placed at a medium height on the wall, it provides a diffuse, warm light that does not strain the eyes. In the living room, it can be used to create differentiated light zones, accompanying a reading area or highlighting a particular wall. In the dining room, a pair of wall lights on either side of the wall can replace or complement a central lamp, adding a more intimate character to the space.

Hallways are another place where this type of wall light makes a great deal of sense. In narrow, elongated spaces, a row of wall lights at the same height creates continuous light without taking up useful space. The lamp integrated into the plaster makes the hallway look more refined, without any exaggerated decorative effort being noticeable.

In the bathroom, COVE can be installed next to the mirror or in areas where supplementary light is needed. The 3000K temperature gives a warm tone that is more pleasant than cold light in a personal-use space. The level of humidity in the bathroom should be taken into account and the installation should be ensured to be suitable for that environment.

The light source is SMD LED, included with the product. This means there is no need to find compatible bulbs or worry about the type of fitting. With a power of 4W, consumption is low. The light it produces is sufficient for accent or supplementary lighting in rooms where another main source already exists.

The lamp body measures 160 mm in length, 80 mm in height and 75 mm in depth. It is a small, lightweight wall light that does not visually weigh down the wall. Its net weight is 250 grams, making it easy to handle during installation. The white finish is the base onto which any wall paint can be applied, adapting the wall light to the exact colour of the space.

In terms of the overall aesthetic of the space, COVE fits both modern interiors and more classic or Nordic-style environments. Its shape does not impose a particular style, and its plaster texture gives it a certain warmth that wall lights made of synthetic materials do not always have. It is a discreet, well-resolved luminaire designed to last without drawing attention to itself.

Questions and answers

Can the COVE wall light be painted to match the colour of the wall?

Yes. The body is made of plaster, a material that accepts standard wall paint. Once installed and painted the same shade as the wall, the wall light becomes visually integrated into the surface.

Is the LED light source included or does it need to be purchased separately?

The SMD LED light source is already included with the product. No additional components need to be purchased for the wall light to work.

What colour temperature does the light emitted by this wall light correspond to?

The colour temperature is 3000K, which corresponds to warm white light. This type of light is common in bedrooms, living rooms and bathrooms because it creates a calmer, less cold atmosphere than neutral or cool light.
