Overview

The COTTON wall light by FARO is a square-format wall lamp with a fabric shade. It is designed for those looking for decorative lighting inside the home without sacrificing a clean and refined result. Its matte white finish and steel structure give it a solid presence without overloading the space.

This wall light works well in spaces where the light needs to be soft and diffuse. The fabric shade filters the light beam and distributes it pleasantly across the wall and the surrounding area. It produces no glare or sharply defined light zones. It is a suitable option for a bedroom, hallway, living room, or any corner where a more intimate atmosphere is desired.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in the design and manufacture of interior luminaires. Their products combine functionality with a clear aesthetic sensibility and are built to last.

Installation and specifications

To install this wall light, a cable outlet in the wall at the desired height is required. As it is a surface-mounted luminaire with direct fixing, the bracket is anchored to the wall using the corresponding fixing elements. It is recommended that the electrical installation be carried out by a qualified professional, especially if the wall has no existing wiring. The operating voltage is 100V to 240V, making it compatible with the standard electrical network. The E27 LED light source is not included and must be purchased separately.

To keep the wall light in good condition, clean the steel body with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the matte white finish. The fabric shade can be cleaned with a dry cloth or a soft brush to remove accumulated dust. Do not wet the shade directly. Always disconnect the lamp from the power supply before any maintenance operation or bulb replacement.

Design and use

The COTTON wall light has compact dimensions: 200 mm high, 200 mm long, and 100 mm deep. This square format gives it a neat and symmetrical appearance that fits well in both modern interiors and more sober or minimalist spaces. It does not impose itself on the wall, but it does not go unnoticed either.

The body is made of steel with a matte white finish. This combination of materials ensures durability while maintaining a discreet aesthetic. The matte white does not reflect light aggressively, which reinforces the sense of calm that this type of wall light aims to create. The fabric shade is the central design element: it wraps around the light source and softens the illumination, projecting a warm and uniform light into the surroundings.

In a bedroom, this wall lamp can be placed on both sides of the bed instead of bedside table lamps. It frees up surface space and gives the room a cleaner look. The light it produces is sufficient for reading or creating a relaxed atmosphere before sleep. In a living room, the wall light can complement a more powerful general lighting scheme, adding areas of more intimate light near a sofa or a reading nook.

In a dining room, one or two units of this wall light installed on the side wall can add warmth to the atmosphere during meals. They do not replace the central lamp, but they balance the distribution of light in the room. In a kitchen, placed near a work area or on a side wall, it can provide supplementary lighting with a refined aesthetic result.

The COTTON wall light also works well in transitional spaces. In long hallways, several units distributed at regular intervals create a pleasant visual sequence and ensure continuous lighting along the entire length. In the bathroom, provided the installation complies with electrical safety regulations for damp areas, it can be placed above the mirror or on a side wall to improve the lighting of the space.

Its square design and matte white finish make it compatible with light wood furniture, lacquered surfaces, neutral textiles, and walls in soft colours. It can also work as a contrast against dark-coloured walls, where the white stands out clearly. The shape and finish place it in an aesthetic register that does not depend on any particular trend, giving it a longer lifespan in terms of interior design.
