Design and use

The TATAWIN lamp was born as part of a family of luminaires designed by Adolfo Abejón. The shape of the shade is inspired by the architecture of Tataouine, a city in southeastern Tunisia known for its stone constructions with characteristic domes. This visual reference translates into a shade with a silhouette unlike most of what is found on the market: it is neither round nor conical, but rather recalls those ancient dwellings of North Africa, with a curve that retains the light and directs it downward in a concentrated manner.

The body of the lamp is made of steel, which gives it solidity without adding too much weight. At 1.67 kg, it is easy to move if you decide to change its location. The matte black finish does not reflect ambient light, which means the lamp integrates well both in spaces with dark furniture and in lighter interiors, where it acts as a clean visual contrast point.

The white opal glass shade is one of the most relevant elements of this piece. The glass filters the light from the bulb and distributes it evenly, without revealing the filament or creating areas of marked shadow.
