Overview

The FARO REM lamp is a table luminaire designed for those seeking a balance between form and function. Its streamlined silhouette and antique gold finish with a beige shade make it suitable for a bedroom as well as a side table in a living room, a desk, or a hotel room. It takes up no unnecessary space and fits well in environments that combine warmth and order.

This table lamp belongs to the REM collection, designed by Alex & Manel Lluscà. The collection is built around a clear idea: a timeless style that does not depend on trends, yet feels fresh in any setting. The minimalist steel base and aged bronze golden finish give it a discreet but defined presence.

FARO is a Spanish brand with a long track record in lighting for residential and hospitality spaces. Its products combine quality materials with attention to detail in design, making them a solid option for both home decorating projects and businesses such as restaurants or hotels.

Installation and specifications

This table luminaire requires no fixed installation: simply place it on the chosen surface and plug it in. Before use, make sure the side table or desk where you plan to place it is stable and can adequately support the weight of the lamp. Check that the outlet you connect it to is compatible with the indicated voltage, which is valid for networks between 100 V and 240 V. The bulb is not included, so you will need to purchase an E27 LED type with a maximum power of 15 W.

For cleaning, use a dry or slightly damp cloth on the steel structure with the golden finish. Avoid abrasive products or those containing solvents, as they can damage the antique gold finish. The beige shade should be cleaned gently to avoid altering its color or texture. Do not submerge any part of the lamp in water. Always unplug it from the power supply before cleaning it or changing the bulb.

Design and use

The REM lamp has a well-balanced proportion: 370 mm in height and a base of 150 × 150 mm. It is neither large nor small. It occupies just the right amount of space on a bedside table, a work desk, or an occasional table in the living room, without dominating the overall composition. That formal restraint is part of what makes it versatile.

The body is made of steel with an antique gold finish. It is not a bright or aggressive gold, but one with a certain depth, reminiscent of metal worked over time. That golden tone pairs well with warm woods, earth-toned surfaces, or neutral grey walls. It also works in interiors with ceramic elements, where matte finishes and natural textures create a harmonious whole. If your living room or bedroom already features decorative ceramic pieces, the lamp integrates effortlessly.

The beige shade helps ensure that the light it emits is warm and diffuse, without creating harsh contrasts in the room. For a bedside table, that is exactly what is needed: a light that accompanies without disturbing, that allows you to read or simply be without straining your eyes. At night, this table lamp creates that sense of calm that many people seek before going to sleep.

On a desk, the REM works as a support light. It does not replace a general lighting source, but it adds a layer of light that is closer and warmer than the ceiling. In a living room or dining room, it can be used as accent lighting on a console or sideboard, bringing visual warmth to a corner that would otherwise remain neutral. In a more intimate dining room, one or two lamps of this type at the ends can balance the atmosphere well.

The REM collection is also designed with hospitality projects in mind. A side table in a hotel room with this lamp on it conveys a sense of care and discernment. In a restaurant, used on counters or support tables, it adds that touch of warmth that distinguishes spaces with personality from those that are merely functional. The design by Alex & Manel Lluscà has that quality: it adapts without disappearing.

The minimalist structure avoids unnecessary details. There is no integrated charging port, no complicated mechanisms. It is a lamp that does what it is meant to do: provide light steadily and look good while doing so. That straightforward approach is precisely what makes it modern without depending on what is currently in fashion.

For those renovating or refreshing a home interior, the REM is a piece that does not require rethinking anything else. It adapts. A bedside table in light wood, a white lacquered desk, or a marble console: in all these contexts, the antique gold finish finds its place without forcing anything.

Questions and answers

Is this table lamp compatible with bulbs from any brand, or are there any restrictions?

It accepts any E27 LED base bulb with a maximum power of 15 W. The bulb is not included, so you can choose whichever one you prefer within those parameters.

Is the antique gold finish resistant to everyday handling, or can it deteriorate with daily use on a side table?

The body is made of steel, which gives it a solid base. To keep the finish in good condition, simply clean it with a soft cloth and avoid abrasive products. Ordinary day-to-day contact will not deteriorate it if treated with basic care.

Is this lamp suitable for the voltage in my country if I am not in Spain?

Yes. The voltage range is 100 V to 240 V, making it compatible with most residential electrical networks worldwide.
