Overview

The LIGGERA lamp by FARO is a table lamp designed for those looking for more than just a light source. It fits well in a bedroom, in a living room with little ornamentation, on a desk, or in any corner where you want to add presence without overwhelming the space. Its soft lines and compact size make it compatible with bedside tables, work surfaces, or sideboards.

The design draws from Japanese minimalism: clean forms, no aggressive angles, with a silhouette reminiscent of a stylized plant branch. There is nothing superfluous. The lamp integrates without drawing too much attention, and in many spaces, that is exactly what is needed.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in interior lighting. Its products combine aesthetic sensibility with durable materials, and the LIGGERA collection reflects that approach to design.

Installation and specifications

No fixed electrical installation is required to set up this lamp. As a table lamp, simply place it on the chosen surface and plug it in. Before doing so, make sure the cable reaches the outlet comfortably without being taut or bent at sharp angles. The 5.7 kg weight provides stability on a bedside table or desk, but avoid irregular or slanted surfaces.

The G9 LED bulb is not included, so you will need to purchase it separately before using the lamp. Choose a bulb compatible with the maximum power of 6 W and the G9 base. The universal voltage (100V–240V) allows it to be used with any standard outlet without an additional adapter.

For maintenance, clean the steel body with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the matte black finish. Do not clean the lamp while it is on or with the cable connected to the power supply.

Design and use

The LIGGERA collection was born from a simple idea: that a table lamp can have character without the need for complicated forms. The reference to ancient Japanese minimalism is not merely aesthetic. There is a philosophy behind it: remove what is unnecessary, keep what is essential, let the form speak for itself.

The body is made of steel with a matte black finish. It is a material that stands the test of time well and, in this color, has the advantage of not visually accumulating dust or showing marks easily. The matte texture avoids unwanted reflections and means the lamp looks equally good under natural or artificial light.

The elongated silhouette — 557 mm tall — gives it presence on a bedside table without taking up too much horizontal space. Its 103 mm width makes it narrow and discreet on a desk, where it does not obstruct the view or invade the work area. And its 423 mm depth allows the arm to project light in just the right direction.

In a bedroom, this lamp works well both as a single bedside piece and in pairs, one on each side of the bed. Its soft LED light is not harsh in a space designed for rest. The bedside table gains prominence with a piece that does not look like a last-minute purchase, but one chosen with intention.

In a dining room, placed on a sideboard or auxiliary furniture, it provides ambient light that complements the main lighting. It does not replace a ceiling lamp, but it adds a layer of warmth that many dining rooms need, especially in the evening hours.

On a desk, the LIGGERA table lamp offers an alternative to the traditional adjustable lamp. Without the articulated arm or the functional appearance of office lamps, this piece combines use and aesthetics. It is a design lamp that does not give up being practical.

In a living room, resting on a side table or a low piece of furniture, it can work alongside wooden elements, ceramics, or natural textiles without creating harsh contrast. Matte black is one of the most versatile finishes: it pairs well with white, light wood, earthy tones, and also with darker palettes. If the living room has other golden elements, the presence of this lamp in black creates an interesting visual balance.

The LIGGERA collection line is also compatible with Nordic styles, where clean forms and unadorned materials predominate. And although the starting point is Japanese minimalism, the piece does not feel out of place in contemporary European interiors. It has that ability to adapt without blending in: you notice it is there, but it does not compete.
