Overview

The FARO recessed luminaire is a ceiling lamp that fits well in spaces where visual order is sought without protruding elements. It integrates into the ceiling in an almost invisible way: no eye-catching frames, no visible cables. The result is clean lighting that accompanies the atmosphere without drawing attention to itself.

This type of lamp works in the kitchen, bedroom, hallway or bathroom. In any space where a low ceiling or the interior style leaves no room for a pendant lamp, this model fits without issue. Thanks to its IP44 protection rating, it is also suitable for areas with humidity, such as the bathroom or areas near the kitchen where there is steam.

FARO is a Spanish brand with years of experience in home lighting. Its products combine functionality and modern design without complicating installation or daily use.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the lamp, check that the opening in the ceiling has the appropriate dimensions to accommodate the body of the luminaire. Electrical work must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Make sure the installation is done with the power switched off. The GU10 LED light source is not included, so it is advisable to have it on hand before beginning assembly.

To clean the luminaire, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the matte black finish. Do not touch the bulb with bare hands when it is hot. Always disconnect the light before any maintenance operation.

Design and use

The FARO recessed ceiling lamp has a body made of steel with a matte black finish. The steel provides stability and durability to the unit, while the matte finish prevents reflections and gives it a sober appearance that adapts to different types of interior. It is not a lamp that seeks to stand out: its function is to be there, do its job and not get in the way visually.

The total diameter is 89 mm and the height is just 55 mm, making it a discreet option for ceilings of any height. Being flush with the ceiling, it does not take up visual space or reduce the sense of roominess in the space. In small bedrooms or narrow hallways, this detail makes a difference compared to bulkier options.

The modern design of this luminaire makes it compatible with contemporary interiors where visual order and coherence are sought. It works well alongside furniture with straight lines, neutral surfaces and sober color palettes. In a kitchen with white or grey cabinets, the black finish acts as an elegant contrast. In a dining room with a dark wood table, it reinforces the coherence of the ensemble without forcing any element.

In the bedroom, the absence of hanging elements makes the atmosphere more peaceful. There is nothing that moves, nothing that casts strange shadows. The light falls in a direct and controlled manner, without dispersing unnecessarily. For accent lighting or to complement other lights in larger bedrooms, it is also a valid option.

Modern recessed lights like this one have a clear advantage over more traditional ceiling lights: they do not accumulate dust to the same extent, they have no parts that loosen over time and their maintenance is minimal. The simplicity of the construction also means there are fewer points where something could fail.

The IP44 protection rating allows it to be installed in environments with moisture or water splashes. This extends its range of use beyond the living room or hallway. In a bathroom with an open shower, installed at a safe distance from the water, it fulfills its function perfectly. In a kitchen where steam is generated during cooking, it withstands without issue.

This home ceiling luminaire can also be used in small commercial spaces, consulting rooms, or any space where modern, unadorned lighting is sought. Compatibility with voltages from 100V to 240V means it works in different countries and electrical systems without additional adapters.

Ceiling lights and recessed fixtures of this type are often combined in groups of several light points distributed across the ceiling. Installed in a row or in a grid, they create a uniform plane of light without dark areas. A single unit can also be installed in a small space, such as a dressing room or a toilet, where a single well-placed light point is sufficient.

The design and style of this luminaire fit contemporary interiors, although it can also work in spaces with a more industrial style where matte black is a common finish. It does not impose a specific aesthetic, but rather adapts to what already exists in the space.
