Overview

The FARO TATAWIN lamp is a ceiling pendant luminaire designed for those looking for a light source with its own character without complicating the overall space. Its metallic shade in a blue-grey tone projects focal light downward, making it especially useful over tables, countertops, or reading areas where a specific area needs to be lit without dispersing light throughout the room.

The classic and timeless design of this pendant lamp allows it to fit effortlessly into both modern interiors and spaces with more traditional references. The satin black steel structure provides visual solidity without overloading the atmosphere. It is a valid option for the living room, dining room, or any corner where you want to create a luminous focal point.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in indoor and outdoor lighting. Their products combine functionality with aesthetic sensibility, and are designed to last over time without losing relevance.

Installation and specifications

To install this pendant lamp, a ceiling light point with a junction box is required. The fixture is mounted directly onto the ceiling surface, following the existing wiring. Before starting the installation, make sure to cut the power supply from the main panel. If you do not have experience with electrical installations, it is recommended that the assembly be carried out by a qualified electrician. Verify that the ceiling support can hold the weight of the lamp without issue.

To keep the lamp in good condition, clean the metal shade with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the finish. Do not handle the bulb with unprotected hands. Make sure the lamp is switched off and cool before any cleaning or light source replacement operation.

Design and use

The TATAWIN lamp is a ceiling pendant with a satin black steel structure and a metallic shade in blue-grey. The combination of these two colors creates a clean and subtle contrast, where the black of the structure visually anchors the whole and the blue-grey tone of the shade adds a touch of color without being eye-catching. It is a lamp that integrates easily into spaces that already feature neutral tones, natural materials such as wood, or metallic surfaces with matte finishes.

The oval shade directs light downward in a concentrated manner, creating a focal lighting cone. This type of light distribution is especially useful in the dining room, where the table needs to be well lit without dazzling the people seated around it. It also works very well in the kitchen, placed over the work area or the island, where direct light helps to clearly see what is being done.

In the living room, a pendant lamp of these characteristics can function as a focal point over a low coffee table or in a reading corner. The idea is not to illuminate the entire room, but to create an area with its own light within the general space. That effect, when well executed, gives depth to the living room without needing to add more decorative elements.

In the bedroom, the TATAWIN lamp can replace bedside lamps when installed at a suitable height on either side of the bed. The focal light it generates is sufficient for reading without disturbing the rest of the room. The classic design of the oval shade does not distort the bedroom atmosphere, but integrates discreetly.

In the bathroom, if the ceiling light point allows it, this pendant lamp can provide warmer and more directed lighting than conventional wall lights. The humidity zones must be taken into account and the corresponding electrical regulations must be met to ensure a safe installation.

The E27 socket is one of the most common, which makes it easy to choose the right LED bulb according to the needs of each space. A warm-toned LED bulb accentuates the classic character of the blue-grey shade, while a neutral light bulb reinforces a more modern atmosphere. In any case, the maximum accepted power is 15 W, sufficient for effective focal lighting.

The weight of 1.67 kg is moderate for a suspension luminaire, which simplifies the installation process in most domestic ceilings. Compatibility with voltages between 120V and 240V allows it to be used without adapters in different countries.
