Overview

The TATAWIN lamp by FARO is a pendant lamp designed for those looking for something simple and long-lasting, without sacrificing style. Its satin black steel structure and white metal shade create a clean combination that fits well in a dining room, a kitchen, or a living room where direct, well-organized lighting is desired. It doesn't take up visual space, but it doesn't go unnoticed either.

The standout feature of this lamp is its focal light: it concentrates the beam downward, making it especially useful above a table, a kitchen island, or any area where good lighting is needed without spreading it throughout the room. The classic design ensures it won't look out of place over time, regardless of how the rest of the space evolves.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in interior lighting. Its products combine functionality and aesthetics without unnecessary complications, and are made with materials that withstand everyday use.

Installation and specifications

Installing this pendant lamp requires a ceiling light point with an accessible junction box. The fixture mounts directly to the ceiling, keeping the cable tidy and the assembly stable. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially if it is to be integrated into an existing circuit. Before any work, make sure the power is switched off at the electrical panel. The E27 LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately, respecting the 15W limit indicated by the manufacturer.

To clean the satin black steel structure, a dry or slightly damp cloth is sufficient. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the finish. The white metal shade is cleaned in the same way. The lamp should not be cleaned while connected to power or when the bulb is hot.

Design and use

The TATAWIN is a ceiling lamp with a well-defined shape: a compact body, an oval shade oriented downward, and two-tone finishes that complement each other without competing. The satin black steel structure provides visual solidity, while the white shade softens the overall look and directs light where it is needed. It is not a large oval lamp, but its presence in the space is felt in a balanced way.

The classic design of this pendant lamp means it works well in very different interiors. In a dining room above a wooden table, it creates an intimate, focused atmosphere. In a kitchen, it directly illuminates the work area without generating uncomfortable shadows. In a bedroom, it can be used as the main light point or as a complement to other ambient lights. In a living room with medium or low ceilings, it fits without stealing the spotlight from other decorative elements.

The white metal oval shade is one of the details that most define this lamp. Its geometry directs the light beam downward, which is practical in spaces where a specific area needs to be illuminated without the light spreading diffusely. This also means that, in a bedroom or bathroom, it can be placed strategically to achieve functional lighting without sacrificing the appearance of the space.

The E27 socket is one of the most common on the market, making it easy to find compatible bulbs. As a lamp intended for LED use in its designed configuration, consumption is low and the bulb's lifespan is long. This translates to less maintenance and reduced energy expenditure during regular use.

The weight of 1.67 kg makes it manageable during installation. The ceiling mount is clean, with no visible elements or complex installations. Once in place, the lamp stays firm and the cable is well integrated into the assembly.

In terms of combinations, this pendant lamp adapts well to interiors with neutral tones, lacquered furniture, concrete surfaces, or walls painted in light colors. The contrast between the black body and the white shade gives it versatility to complement both dark and light furniture. It can also work in groups of two or three units hung at different heights to create a modern composition above a long table or a kitchen bar.

It is a lamp designed to last and to adapt to changes in the space without becoming outdated. The classic design and quality materials mean it will still make sense in five or ten years, regardless of current trends.

Questions and answers

Is the 184 mm diameter sufficient to illuminate a standard dining table?

For a standard dining table, this diameter works well as a focal light point. If the table is large, it can be complemented with two units placed in a line to better cover the surface.

Does the oval shade direct light only downward or also to the sides?

The metal shade of this pendant lamp is designed to concentrate the beam downward, making it ideal for illuminating specific areas. The amount of lateral light is minimal.

Is it compatible with standard E27 bulbs available on the market, or does it require a specific model?

The E27 socket is compatible with most LED bulbs available in any store. You only need to respect the 15W limit indicated by FARO to ensure safe operation.
