Overview

The TATAWIN lamp by FARO is a suspension luminaire that attaches to the ceiling and provides focal light directed downward. Its satin black steel structure and white metal shade create a combination that never goes out of style. It works well in a dining room, a kitchen, or a living room where you want to highlight a specific area without filling the space with diffuse light.

The classic design of this pendant lamp fits with interiors that already have a defined style, but also with spaces in the process of renovation where the decorative direction has not yet been decided. The oval shade concentrates the light at a single point, which is useful above a table, a kitchen island, or a reading nook.

FARO is a brand with a long track record in interior and exterior lighting. Its products combine functionality with careful design, conceived for real domestic spaces.

Installation and specifications

To install this pendant lamp, an existing ceiling box with an electrical connection is required. Given the direct ceiling mounting, it is advisable to verify that the surface is solid and can support the weight of the assembly. It is recommended that the installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially if there is no prior experience with suspension luminaires. Before connecting, make sure to cut the power at the electrical panel. The lamp is compatible with the voltage range 120V–240V, making it suitable for standard domestic use.

For maintenance, simply clean the metal shade with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the satin black finish of the steel body. Do not clean the lamp while it is on or connected to the power supply. The E27 LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately, respecting the indicated maximum wattage of 15 W.

Design and use

The TATAWIN is a ceiling pendant lamp with a steel structure in a satin black finish. The oval shade in metallic white is the central element of the design: it directs light downward in a concentrated manner, without scattering it in all directions. This makes it a practical option when you need to illuminate a specific area within a larger room.

The steel body provides solidity without adding unnecessary weight. At 1.67 kg in total, the luminaire is light enough to be installed on standard ceilings without additional reinforcement. The satin black finish does not reflect light aggressively and maintains a clean appearance over time.

The white oval shade contrasts with the dark structure in a subtle way. It is not a striking contrast, but one that gives visual balance to the whole. That balance is precisely what allows this pendant lamp to coexist with different decorative styles: from more sober and contemporary interiors to spaces with vintage or industrial design touches.

In the dining room, placed above the table, it creates a warm atmosphere without dominating the space. In the kitchen, it serves to reinforce the lighting over the countertop or the island, where more direct light is needed. In the bedroom, it can function as the main light source if the ceiling is low and you do not want to install a larger lamp. In the living room, it helps to define zones: a pendant lamp above a sofa or a coffee table can visually organize the space without the need for partition walls or additional furniture.

Compatibility with an E27 LED bulb allows you to choose the color temperature according to the atmosphere you want to achieve: warm light for rest areas such as the bedroom or living room, or more neutral light for work areas such as the kitchen. The maximum wattage of 15 W is sufficient to generate effective focal lighting without high energy consumption.

In terms of integration with other elements in the space, the TATAWIN lamp works well alongside wooden surfaces, light-colored walls, or furniture in neutral tones. The black of the body connects easily with hardware, window frames, or furniture legs of the same color, creating a sense of coherence effortlessly. The white shade, for its part, does not compete with other decorative elements but complements them.

It can also be combined with other lights in the same room. It is not a lamp designed to be the only light source in a bathroom or a large space, but as part of a well-distributed set of lights, it delivers exactly what it promises: directed, clean light with a classic look that does not age.

Questions and answers

Is the shade of the TATAWIN lamp truly oval or is it round?

The shade is oval, not circular. That shape is part of the classic design of the luminaire and contributes to the light being directed in a focal manner downward, concentrating on a specific area.

Is the satin black finish of the steel body resistant to marks and fingerprints?

The satin finish is less sensitive to fingerprints than a glossy finish. Regular cleaning with a dry cloth is sufficient to keep the steel body looking in good condition.

Does this pendant lamp work with any type of E27 bulb or only with LED?

The socket is a standard E27, so it accepts different types of bulbs. However, the maximum wattage is 15 W, which directs use toward E27 LED bulbs, which offer greater efficiency within that power limit.
