Overview

PLAT 3L is a ceiling pendant lamp with a multiple canopy for three lights. It is a model designed for spaces where the bulb does not need to be hidden, but shown as it is. The design does not distract or overload: the light source itself is the protagonist, and everything else stays in the background.

It works well in living rooms, dining rooms, or bedrooms. It also fits in the kitchen if the space allows. The matte black version adapts effortlessly to Scandinavian-style interiors, where the palette is understated and materials do not compete with each other.

FARO is a Spanish brand with years of experience in interior lighting. Their products are manufactured with attention to detail and are aimed at those looking for something specific: a lamp that does its job well and looks good while doing it.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the pendant lamp, check that the ceiling anchor point can support the weight of the assembly. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Make sure to cut the power supply before making any connections. The cable height can be adjusted according to the needs of the space.

To clean the matte black steel surface, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the finish. Do not touch the bulb directly with your hands when replacing it; wait for it to cool down before handling it.

Design and use

The PLAT 3L lamp by FARO has a steel structure with a matte black finish. It is a ceiling pendant luminaire with three light points, each with an E27 socket compatible with LED bulbs. The shape is clean, with no unnecessary ornamentation. The metal body acts as a discreet support, and the focus falls directly on the bulbs, which are exposed and visible from any angle.

This type of lamp, oval in its overall composition, works especially well when hung over a long dining table. The three lights distribute the illumination evenly along the surface, without creating shadows concentrated at a single point. In a living room, it can be placed at the center of the ceiling as the main element or alongside other lower light sources.

In a bedroom, the ceiling pendant lamp provides general lighting without taking up space on the bedside tables. The cable height is adjustable up to 5000 mm, allowing it to be adapted to high or standard ceilings without losing proportion. In the kitchen, if there is a central island or worktop bar, three lights aligned above it generate practical and visually tidy illumination.

The oval style of this composition fits well with Nordic interiors, where neutral finishes, natural materials, and simple lines predominate. Matte black does not reflect ambient light, which avoids annoying glare and keeps the overall look visually calm. It is a modern lamp without being flashy, making it compatible with different decorative styles without looking out of place.

In a multipurpose room, such as a study or reading room, the distribution of three lights allows comfortable working without relying on auxiliary lighting. The bulb is visible, giving the assembly an honest and direct feel, with no glass or shade to filter or soften the light. This is precisely what those who choose this model are looking for: real visibility of the light source as part of the design.

Using an E27 LED bulb allows control over consumption and the choice of color temperature best suited to each space. Warm light creates a more intimate atmosphere in a living room or bedroom; neutral or cool light is more functional in a kitchen or work area. The lamp accepts voltages between 100 and 240V, so it can be used without adapters in different countries.

Installation in a bathroom may also be considered if the electrical conditions of the space allow it and the installation area is outside the direct humidity zone. In that context, the matte black contrasts well with light tile or polished concrete surfaces.

The PLAT 3L pendant lamp does not try to attract attention through its shape. Its value lies in consistency: solid materials, a careful finish, and a design logic that places the bulb at the center without artifice. It is a luminaire chosen when something durable, stable, and reliable for everyday use is wanted.

Questions and answers

What type of bulb is compatible with this ceiling lamp?

The lamp uses an E27 socket and is compatible with LED bulbs of up to 15W. The bulb is not included, so it must be purchased separately.
