Overview

The FARO LUMINA 900 is a horizontal pendant designed for spaces where light not only illuminates but also becomes part of the atmosphere. Its slim, elongated profile makes it a solid option for the ceiling of a dining room, kitchen, or living room with long tables, where a homogeneous light distribution along the entire surface is desired.

What sets this lamp apart from the rest is the combination of its oval silhouette with a lightweight construction and refined finish materials. It does not visually occupy the space but defines it with subtlety. The integrated 2700K LED module provides warm light that does not strain the eyes, suitable for spaces where extended time is spent.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in interior lighting. Its catalog combines aesthetic judgment with functionality, and the LUMINA 900 reflects that approach to design well: without excess, with noble materials and a presence that is felt without imposing itself.

Installation and specifications

To install this pendant lamp correctly, it is advisable to check that the ceiling anchor point has sufficient capacity to support the weight of the assembly. Since this is a horizontal piece nearly one meter in length, it is recommended that the fixture be secured with two separate attachment points, following the manufacturer's instructions. If you have no experience with electrical installations, the safest option is to hire a certified electrician. Before handling any connection, make sure to cut the power from the main panel.

To keep the lamp in good condition, clean the transparent body and the opal diffuser with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the PC surface. Do not wet the electrical components or disassemble them without first disconnecting the installation from the mains.

Design and use

The LUMINA 900 has an oval cross-sectional shape that gives it a soft, restrained appearance. Viewed from below, the lamp features the opal diffuser, which distributes light evenly without creating areas of intense brightness or pronounced shadows. This quality makes it comfortable for spaces where people work, eat, or read.

The lamp body is transparent, giving it a discreet presence from certain angles. It does not seek to draw attention to itself, but rather to blend in with its surroundings. Against a white or neutral ceiling, it almost disappears visually, letting the light take center stage. In a space with more personality, the oval silhouette and refined finish add a touch of quality without interfering with the overall composition.

At 935 mm in length, this pendant lamp is ideal for a standard-sized dining table. It illuminates the area linearly, concentrating light where it is needed without scattering it. In the kitchen, it can be placed above the island or a long countertop for functional and orderly lighting. In the living room, it works well above an elongated coffee table or in a wide hallway where a clean line of light on the ceiling is desired.

In a bedroom, the LUMINA 900 can be used as the main lamp if the space has a modern style and discretion is valued. It is not a decorative piece with ornaments, but a lamp that does its job well and looks good while doing it.

The 2700K light it emits reproduces the warm tones of traditional incandescent light. This temperature is particularly suitable for rest areas or spaces where a cozy atmosphere is sought at night. Compared to cooler lights, lights in this range do not alter the color perception of materials and are more pleasant to the eye under conditions of low natural light.

In terms of integration with other elements, the LUMINA 900 pairs well with light wood furniture, glass surfaces, or fine metallic finishes. Its slim, transparent profile does not compete with any particular decorative style. It works equally well in interiors with a modern aesthetic as in more neutral spaces or those transitioning between styles.

Careful construction and the use of quality materials are hallmarks of FARO, a brand that maintains a constant level of technical rigor across its entire range of interior luminaires.
