Overview

The LUMINA 600 pendant light by FARO is a ceiling pendant designed for those looking for a light source that does not compete with the rest of the space, but completes it. Its oval shape and transparent finish give it a discreet yet defined presence, suitable for a living room, dining room, or any area where light needs to accompany without imposing itself.

The 36W module with a color temperature of 2700K projects a warm light, the kind that makes a room look cozy effortlessly. The lamp is designed to hang from the ceiling and works well both in individual installations and in compositions with multiple units, giving the freedom to adapt the lighting to spaces of different sizes.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in interior lighting. Its products combine technical expertise with attention to detail, and the LUMINA range is an example of that way of working.

Installation and specifications

Before installing this pendant lamp, make sure the ceiling support is solid and capable of holding the module stably. The electrical connection must be carried out by a certified electrician. Verify that the installation is compatible with the indicated voltage, between 220V and 240V. The light source is not included, so have the appropriate LED bulb ready before proceeding with assembly.

To clean the transparent body and opal diffuser, use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the polycarbonate surface. Do not handle the lamp with the power on. Periodically check that the ceiling fixing remains secure and that there are no signs of wear on the cable.

Design and use

The LUMINA 600 has a construction based on a simple idea: that the shape of the lamp should not distract, but that its presence should be noticed in the quality of the light it generates. The transparent body reveals the interior of the module without concealing it, while the polycarbonate diffuser with an opal finish softens the emission point and distributes light evenly throughout the room.

The profile of this pendant lamp is remarkably slim, with just 34 mm in length and 30 mm in depth. This means it takes up no visual space, creates no unnecessary shadows, and adds no visual weight to the overall composition. The oval shape of the module contributes to that sense of lightness that defines this model within the LUMINA range.

With a total height of 1945 mm, the pendant has enough cable to adapt to different ceiling heights. On high ceilings it hangs freely, with the module floating in the space. On lower ceilings, the drop can be shortened so the lamp sits at a functional height without the cable becoming the visual focal point.

The 2700K color temperature produces a warm light, similar to traditional incandescent light. This type of light favors environments where one wants to relax or spend time without visual tension. It is a good option for the dining room, where the work or dining table requires direct but pleasant lighting. It also works well in the bedroom, where cool light can feel too stimulating during rest hours.

In the kitchen, this pendant lamp can be used above the island or the work counter, where a concentrated light source is needed. The oval shape adapts well to elongated surfaces and maintains visual coherence with furniture of clean, modern lines.

The living room is another space where the LUMINA 600 finds its place naturally. Placed above a low table, a corner sofa, or as a reference point in a reading area, it provides direct light without being intrusive. If the living room has high ceilings, the pendant height can be adjusted to create different light planes within the same space.

The SMD LED module it incorporates works with the light source chosen by the user, always within the parameters indicated by the manufacturer. This flexibility makes it possible to adjust the intensity or luminous output according to the specific needs of the space. Low-consumption LED lights are the most common for this type of installation.

The transparent finish of the body has a quality that is especially appreciated in spaces with natural light: it does not absorb the surroundings, but reflects them subtly. This means the lamp changes in appearance throughout the day, being almost invisible in direct light and gaining more presence when switched on at night.

For the bathroom, provided the installation complies with the safety regulations applicable to wet areas, this ceiling pendant lamp can provide a soft and well-directed light source. Its slim profile makes it compatible with spaces where dimensions are tight and every element must justify its presence.

The combination of quality materials and clean construction makes the LUMINA 600 a modern lamp that does not depend on passing trends to remain relevant over time.

Questions and answers

Does the LUMINA 600 lamp include the LED light source?

No, the light source is not included. It must be purchased separately before installing the lamp. A LED bulb compatible with the module's parameters and with a color temperature of 2700K is recommended to maintain the intended luminous result.

Is it possible to shorten the cable to adapt the pendant lamp to low ceilings?

The total height of the pendant is 1945 mm, which provides room to adjust the drop according to the ceiling height. Cable shortening must be carried out during assembly by a professional, always respecting the electrical connections and the integrity of the module.

Does the oval opal-finish diffuser reduce direct glare?

Yes. The polycarbonate diffuser with an opal finish distributes light evenly and prevents the LED emission point from being directly visible. This reduces the sensation of glare and creates a softer light in the environment.
