Overview

The LUMINA 600 pendant light by FARO is a ceiling pendant designed for those looking for more than just illumination. It hangs from the ceiling with a clean, understated presence, without overwhelming the space, yet with enough character to become the focal point of the room. Its oval shape and transparent finish allow it to blend into modern environments effortlessly.

It works well in living rooms, dining rooms, or kitchens — any space where a pendant light can provide both light and composition at the same time. Its 2700K LED module emits a warm light that does not cause eye fatigue and works well both during active moments and times of rest.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in lighting design. Their products combine aesthetic sensibility and technical solidity, built to last and to look great from day one.

Installation and specifications

To install this pendant light on the ceiling, an existing ceiling power point is required. The total height of 1945 mm must be taken into account before installation to ensure there is sufficient space. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially when working with existing wiring. Before starting, always switch off the power at the electrical panel.

For lamp care, clean the transparent surfaces with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the finish. Do not touch the LED module directly or apply pressure to the opal diffuser. Periodically check the connections if you notice any irregularities in operation.

Design and use

The LUMINA 600 is a ceiling pendant light that has something difficult to put into words but easy to perceive in a space: presence without weight. It hangs naturally, without excessive volume, and yet does not go unnoticed. The oval shape of the unit and the transparent finish materials make the light appear to float, as if the lamp itself were part of the air.

The main body is constructed from transparent material, giving it a visual lightness that few ceiling lights achieve. It is not the type of lamp that dominates the room: it is the one that completes it. The PC diffuser with opal finish distributes light evenly, without creating bothersome glare or shadowed areas. The 2700K temperature produces a warm tone, close to that of natural light at sunset, which is pleasant both in work spaces and in rest areas.

In the living room, this pendant light works above a coffee table or at the center of the main space. The adjustable height, given the total length of almost two meters, allows the position to be adjusted according to the desired distance from the floor. In a bedroom it adds warmth without feeling excessive. Above a dining table, the 2700K light enhances the atmosphere without distorting the colors of the food or the surroundings. In the kitchen, installed above the island or work area, it provides direct and functional lighting.

The lamp also makes sense in smaller spaces such as the bathroom — provided it is installed in areas away from water and with the usual precautions — or in a hallway where you want to mark the path with a design piece. Its narrow profile, with only 34 mm in length and 30 mm in depth on the body, makes it suitable for spaces where a more voluminous lamp would be disproportionate.

The integrated SMD LED module ensures stable performance and controlled energy consumption. Being a modern lamp without moving parts or fragile materials in the main body, maintenance is minimal. LED technology avoids excessive heat and allows the lamp to operate for hours without affecting the comfort of the room.

The combination of optical glass, opal diffuser, and transparent structure gives the LUMINA 600 a clean look that coexists well with Nordic, contemporary, or minimalist interiors. It does not compete with the furniture: it complements it. In a living room with light wood furniture, the transparency of the body does not interrupt the warmth of the overall setting. In a more industrial kitchen, the slender profile fits in without forcing contrast. The light it emits creates a balanced atmosphere, without unnecessary showiness.

This ceiling pendant light is designed for those who want their space to look good without having to explain too much why.

Questions and answers

Does the LUMINA 600 lamp include the LED light source in the package?

No, the light source is not included. The lamp uses an SMD LED module with a maximum power of 60W, which must be purchased separately before installation.

What is the total height of the pendant light and how does it affect ceiling installation?

The total height is 1945 mm, which is equivalent to almost two meters from the fixing point on the ceiling. It is important to measure the available space before installing it to ensure that the distance from the floor is appropriate for the intended use.

Is the oval diffuser of the lamp made of glass or another material?

The diffuser has an oval shape and is made of polycarbonate (PC) with an opal finish. It is not made of glass, which makes it more resistant to impacts during handling and installation.
