Overview

LUMINA 600 by FARO is a horizontal pendant lamp designed for spaces where lighting is also part of the visual composition of the environment. Its 12W module and 2200K color temperature generates warm, continuous light, without flickering or shadowed areas. It is a solution that fits well in dining rooms, living rooms, kitchens, or bedrooms where you want to add presence without saturating the atmosphere.

The oval shape of the unit gives a clean visual result. The transparent body allows the structure to be seen without visually overloading it, and the opal diffuser distributes light evenly downward. This is not a conventional ceiling lamp: the horizontal arrangement and refined finish make it a design element that organizes the space while illuminating it.

FARO is a Catalan brand with a track record in indoor and outdoor lighting. Its products combine technical criteria with attention to finish, and are designed to last over time without losing aesthetic relevance.

Installation and specifications

To install this lamp on the ceiling, an existing light point is required at the intended location. The fixture mounts directly to the ceiling, so it is advisable to verify that the surface is firm and can support the weight of the unit. The light source is not included, so before mounting, make sure you have the appropriate LED module. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially to ensure correct connection to the 220V–240V mains.

To clean the transparent body and opal diffuser, use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may affect the polycarbonate surface. Before any cleaning, disconnect the lamp from the power supply. Do not handle the LED module while the lamp is on.

Design and use

LUMINA 600 has an oval, elongated silhouette reminiscent of a suspended light bar. The length of 635 mm and the shallow depth of 30 mm give it a pronounced horizontal presence, almost like a line drawn across the ceiling. This proportion makes the lamp particularly suitable for spaces where the ceiling is as much of a focal point as the walls.

The transparent body is one of its most defining features. It does not conceal its structure: it displays it clearly, without ornamentation. This constructive honesty is what gives it a modern yet restrained character, free from decorative excess. The glass or plastic it evokes recalls certain laboratory or precision objects, where every element serves a visible function.

The polycarbonate diffuser with an opal finish softens the light emission. The light that reaches the environment is neither raw nor direct: it spreads evenly, without creating points of concentration. This is especially useful in a room where people eat or work, as it reduces visual fatigue and creates a more stable atmosphere. In the kitchen, it provides functional lighting that does not distort the colors of food or create annoying glare on surfaces.

The temperature of 2200K places this lamp at the warmest end of the LED spectrum. It is a light similar to that of candles or traditional incandescent bulbs, making it very suitable for bedrooms, living rooms, or any area where a relaxed atmosphere is desired. It is not a cold work light: it is a light for living, for sharing the space calmly.

In terms of installation, the pendant lamp mounts directly to the ceiling, simplifying the process compared to more complex solutions. With a total height of just 34 mm, it takes up very little vertical space. This allows it to be used in not particularly high ceilings without the unit feeling intrusive. It can hang alone above a dining table or be integrated into a composition with other lights.

The possibility of combining several modules from the LUMINA line opens up options for the living room or larger spaces. Two or three units arranged in parallel create a linear, orderly presence that visually structures the room. It also works well above a kitchen island, where the oval shape of the body and its length adapt to the work area without interfering with movement.

In the bathroom, provided the installation point is outside the direct humidity zone, it can be integrated as a complementary lighting element above the mirror or on one side. The transparent finish withstands environments with moderate temperature and humidity variations well.
