Design and use

The LUMINA 1200 lamp has an elongated, horizontal form that clearly defines an axis in the space. Viewed from below, it projects a continuous line of light that runs almost one and a quarter metres. It is not a lamp that goes unnoticed, but neither does it draw attention in a loud way. It is simply there, organising the space around it.

The body is transparent, with a very slim profile, just 34 mm tall and 30 mm deep. This makes the lamp appear almost suspended in the air, with no visual mass. The opaline diffuser softens the light output and prevents the LED module from being seen directly. The result is a uniform line of light, with no hot spots or variations along its length.

This type of design — oval in plan and very restrained in height — fits well in standard-height ceilings where a bulky pendant would seem disproportionate. In an open-plan kitchen, for example, it can mark the transition between the work area and the living area. In a dining room, it is usually positioned centred above the table, at a height that allows the surface to be well illuminated without blocking the line of sight between diners.

In a living room with straight-lined furniture and neutral materials, the LUMINA 1200 reinforces that same compositional logic. It does not need to be accompanied by other complex elements. A temperature of 2200K produces a very warm light that creates welcoming atmospheres, but it is not designed for tasks requiring visual precision. In a kitchen, it works best as general ambient lighting, combined with more functional lights in the food preparation area.

Does the opaline PC diffuser protect the interior of the LED module from accidental impacts?

PC material has notable mechanical impact resistance, making it safer than glass or crystal in everyday use situations. Even so, it is recommended to handle it carefully during installation and to avoid direct impacts.

Does the length of 1245 mm make this pendant lamp suitable for small spaces?

For very small spaces it may seem disproportionate. It works best in rooms where there is at least 2.5 metres in the dimension parallel to the lamp, such as long dining tables or wide hallways.
