Overview

The LE VITA pendant lamp in matte black finish is a suspension luminaire designed for the ceiling of indoor spaces. Its steel structure with fine lines and the opal glass diffuser form a combination that works well both in a large living room and in a dining room or medium-sized bedroom. It is not a piece that draws excessive attention — it simply fits in, and makes the space look more orderly and well-kept.

The oval opal glass diffuser distributes light evenly, without harsh shadows or uncomfortable bright spots. The 2700K color temperature produces a warm light, the kind that is pleasant during evening hours or in environments where a certain degree of visual comfort is sought.

FARO is a Spanish brand with a long track record in interior lighting. Its collections combine functional design with quality materials, built to last and adapt to different home styles.

Installation and specifications

To install this ceiling lamp, an existing light point in the ceiling is required, with wiring suitable for luminaires of up to 14 W. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a certified electrician. Before starting assembly, make sure the power is switched off at the electrical panel. The structure has a net weight of 2 kg, so the anchor must be properly fixed in the ceiling and able to support that load without issue.

The glass diffuser should be cleaned with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Abrasive products or solvents should not be used, as they could damage the opal finish. The matte black steel structure can be cleaned with a dry cloth. It is recommended to turn off the lamp and allow it to cool before any cleaning.

Design and use

The LE VITA collection from FARO was born with a clear premise: design without excess. This matte black version stays true to that same idea — a pendant lamp with clean lines, solid materials, and a finish that needs no justification. The steel structure runs through the piece with fine lines that frame the oval glass diffuser without concealing it. The result is a piece that has presence without feeling visually heavy.

The oval opal glass diffuser is one of the details most noticeable when the lamp is switched on. The light from the SMD LED passes through the glass and is distributed softly, without creating dark areas or causing direct glare. This makes it especially comfortable in spaces where time is spent: a living room where one reads or watches television, a dining room where the lighting accompanies meals, or a bedroom where a calm light without harsh contrasts is preferred.

With a length of 1030 mm and a depth of just 80 mm, the lamp has an elongated and discreet proportion. It hangs from the ceiling on a cable of up to 1500 mm, allowing the height to be adjusted according to the space. In rooms with high ceilings it can be installed leaving the full cable length. In lower spaces, it can be shortened so that it sits at an appropriate height above the table or point of use.

The matte black finish of the structure works well with different interior styles. In a space with straight lines and neutral tones, the lamp adds a point of contrast without breaking the coherence of the whole. In environments with wooden elements or natural textures, the matte black acts as a visual anchor that organizes the atmosphere. It also pairs well with modern light-colored furniture, where the pendant adds a touch of definition without overloading the space.

The kitchen is another space where this type of luminaire fits without forcing it. Installed above an island or a bar, the oval lamp illuminates the work area in a practical way. In the bathroom, if the light point allows it, it can function as the main lighting in spaces with sufficient free height.

The 2700K light emitted by this lamp creates a warm atmosphere, similar to that of a traditional incandescent bulb. It is a color temperature that does not tire the eyes and promotes a sense of calm in home spaces. The LED lights in this range consume significantly less than conventional sources of equivalent power.

The design by Nahtrang for the LE VITA collection has internal coherence: each piece in the series maintains the same formal language, making it easy to combine several luminaires in different areas of the same home without the result appearing improvised.
