Overview

CONFETTI is a pendant lamp from the collection designed by Nutcreatives for FARO. It is a suspension designed for those who want to refresh an interior space without compromising their principles: the shade is made from recycled plastic bottle caps, and all production takes place in Valencia. This is not a minor detail — it is the essence of the product.

The pendant lamp fits well in a living room, dining room, or kitchen where a characterful light source is desired. The oval shade occupies the space with presence, and the bulb remains visible, giving the whole piece a clean and straightforward look. Nothing is hidden or overly ornate.

FARO is a Spanish brand with years of experience in interior lighting. Their approach combines local manufacturing with materials designed to last, which is evident in the finish and in how each piece is constructed.

Installation and specifications

To install this pendant lamp on the ceiling, a junction box is required at the anchoring point. The suspension cable allows height adjustment according to the distance to the ceiling. It is recommended that installation be carried out by an electrician, as it involves a direct connection to the mains. Before starting, check that the installation voltage is compatible with the indicated range. The ceiling fixing must be secure and suitable for the weight of the unit.

To clean the oval shade, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the recycled material. Do not wet the lamp holder or the connection area. Before any cleaning, disconnect the lamp from the power supply.

Design and use

The CONFETTI pendant lamp has an oval shade made from recycled plastic bottle caps. This not only reduces waste — it also results in a shape with texture and depth that cannot be achieved with conventional materials. The oval shade takes centre stage within the piece, and the bulb is naturally visible, neither forced nor concealed.

The body is aluminium with a matte black finish. This type of finish does not reflect light aggressively and holds up well over time. In a bedroom or a room with light-coloured walls, the matte black creates a clean contrast. In spaces with more dark elements, it integrates without standing out excessively.

The pendant lamp is designed for ceiling mounting, with a suspension cable that reaches up to 1410 mm in total height. This allows it to be adapted to different ceiling heights: in a dining room, for example, it can be hung lower to concentrate light over the table; in a living room with a high ceiling, it can be raised to illuminate a larger area. The oval shade, 450 mm in diameter, has enough presence to be the focal point of the room without overwhelming the overall composition.

The E27 LED bulb is not included, which allows you to choose the colour temperature according to use. In a kitchen, a cooler light can help to see details more clearly. In a bedroom or living room, a warm light creates a calmer atmosphere. The maximum power of 15 W is consistent with the use of a standard LED bulb of that fitting.

The Nutcreatives design for this collection has something unusual: the oval shade does not attempt to imitate materials such as wood, wicker, or rattan, which are common in lamps of this type. Here the material is explicitly recycled plastic, and that is part of the concept. The lamp does not hide what it is. This can work well in interiors that combine modern elements with rawer or industrial ones — brick walls, metal furniture, open shelving.

In a single bedroom or a generously sized bathroom, the pendant lamp can serve as the primary light source when combined with a high-output bulb. In a long hallway, one or more units from this collection can provide visual continuity to the space. The lamp is also available in a 30 cm diameter, which allows two different formats to be used in the same interior if a staggered effect is desired.

The unit weighs 1.67 kg, making it manageable to install on most standard domestic ceilings. The light it produces depends on the chosen bulb, but the oval shade distributes brightness in an enveloping manner, without excessive concentration points. This is comfortable for spaces where people spend a lot of time — a living room, a dining room, a home office.

Local production in Valencia is an aspect that FARO considers part of the product's value. It implies a lower transport footprint and greater control over the manufacturing process. For those looking for a modern lamp with responsible consumption criteria, this adds value.

Questions and answers

Is the CONFETTI oval shade available in more than one size?

Yes. The version described has a diameter of 450 mm, but the collection is also available with an oval shade of 30 cm in diameter. You can combine both sizes in the same space if you want to work with different light scales.

Is the E27 fitting compatible with any LED bulb on the market?

The E27 fitting is one of the most common. It accepts most standard LED bulbs in that format, provided they do not exceed the indicated maximum power of 15 W. The bulb is not included, so you can choose the colour temperature that best suits the space.

Does the recycled plastic of the oval shade require any special care regarding humidity?

It is recommended not to expose the shade to direct moisture or splashes. For cleaning, a dry cloth is sufficient. In spaces such as bathrooms, it is important to keep the lamp away from the water area.
