Installation and specifications

Design and use

The COCOTTE lamp exists at a midpoint between the understated and the contemporary. It is not an oval lamp in the classic sense, but a piece with a defined volume where the visible metal support base forms part of the aesthetic language of the whole. That design decision is what sets it apart from other pendant ceiling luminaires that conceal or minimize their structure.

The body is made of aluminum with a glossy black finish. This finish gives it presence without feeling visually heavy. In a room with light-colored walls, the lamp becomes a clean point of contrast. The diffuser is made of PMMA with an opal finish. This material distributes light evenly, without creating areas of intense glare or hard shadows beneath the lamp. Does the opal PMMA diffuser on this ceiling lamp cause direct glare?

No. The opal finish of the diffuser distributes light evenly, which reduces glare and prevents the LED source from being visible directly through the material.
