Overview

The FARO outdoor wall light is a wall lamp designed for outdoor spaces such as terraces, gardens, facades, and patios. Its die-cast aluminum body and opal glass diffuser make it suitable for areas exposed to temperature changes and typical outdoor conditions. If you are looking for a wall light that combines well with a contemporary setting without complicating installation, this wall light fulfills that function in a discreet and efficient way.

The lamp emits diffused, uniform light thanks to the translucent glass. There are no pronounced shadow areas or direct glare. The dark grey finish integrates the wall light with concrete, stone, or modern cladding walls without drawing too much attention.

FARO is a Spanish brand with extensive experience in indoor and outdoor lighting. Their products are aimed at those seeking manufacturing quality and balanced design for the home.

Installation and specifications

To install this outdoor wall light, make sure the surface is solid and flat. It is recommended that the electrical installation be carried out by a qualified technician, especially in areas exposed to humidity or direct sunlight. Before mounting the lamp, verify that the wiring is properly insulated and that the circuit is de-energized. Use anchors appropriate to the type of wall — brick, concrete, or block — to ensure a firm hold.

The aluminum body requires no special maintenance, but it is advisable to clean the surface periodically with a dry or slightly damp cloth to prevent the accumulation of dust or dirt. Avoid abrasive chemical products that could damage the finish. The glass diffuser can be cleaned with a soft cloth without solvent-based products. Do not handle the lamp while the light source is on or immediately after turning it off.

Design and use

The FARO wall light is made of die-cast aluminum, a material that combines lightness with durability. This construction gives the fixture a robust structure without adding unnecessary weight. The dark grey finish is neutral and versatile: it works well with painted facades, stone walls, or exposed brick surfaces. It does not impose a particular style, but rather complements what is already there.

The opal translucent glass diffuser distributes light evenly. Unlike wall lights with transparent glass, this one prevents the LED light point from being directly visible. The result is softer illumination on the wall and the immediate surroundings, without creating harsh contrasts between lit areas and areas in shadow.

Designed for terraces or gardens, this lamp adapts well to different outdoor use situations. It can be installed at the entrance of a home, along an uncovered corridor, on the sides of a garage door, or next to an outdoor seating area. In a garden with vegetation, the wall light creates ambient lighting that does not interfere with the natural surroundings.

Compatibility with an E27 LED bulb allows you to choose the color temperature according to preference: warm light for a more relaxed atmosphere, or neutral light if the area requires functional visibility. The maximum power of 15 W is sufficient to illuminate the nearby area without generating high energy consumption.

Although the design is contemporary, the wall light has no distinctive elements that limit it to a single type of environment. It works equally well alongside fixtures with industrial lines as with a more classic-style lantern, provided the rest of the finishes maintain a similar color palette.

The fixture does not include a motion sensor or integrated detector, but it can be connected to an automation system or to a switch with a timer if you wish to control the switching on in a programmed manner. This decision is left to the installer or the user according to their needs.

The net weight of just over one kilogram makes wall mounting straightforward and does not require special anchors in most common surfaces. The compact dimensions — 280 mm in length and 70 mm in height — allow it to be installed in spaces where a more bulky wall light would be excessive.

Questions and answers

Does the lamp include the E27 LED bulb or does it need to be purchased separately?

The light source is not included. The wall light is compatible with E27 LED bulbs of up to 15 W, which you will need to purchase separately according to your preferred color temperature.

Does the opal glass diffuser affect the amount of light emitted by the wall light?

The opal glass slightly filters the light to distribute it evenly and prevent direct glare. The amount of light perceived in the surroundings depends primarily on the power of the bulb you install, not on the diffuser.

Can this wall light be installed on both brick and concrete walls?

Yes. The mounting is standard for solid surfaces. You only need to use the appropriate plugs and screws for the type of wall material. It is recommended that the installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially outdoors.
