Overview

The KOV wall light by FARO is a wall lamp designed for outdoor use. It mounts directly onto the wall and provides directed lighting upward, downward, or in both directions simultaneously. It is an option designed for those who want to illuminate a façade, terrace, or outdoor entrance without dealing with complex installations.

What sets this wall light apart is its light source recessed within the body, which prevents direct glare and improves visual comfort. The beam angle can be chosen between 14° and 23°, allowing the light projection to be adjusted according to the distance to the wall or the surface to be illuminated. It can also be mounted vertically or horizontally, providing flexibility when planning the installation.

The integrated drainage system prevents water from accumulating inside the lamp body, an important detail in spaces exposed to rain or humidity. The white finish and aluminum body give it a clean appearance that is resistant to the passage of time.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in exterior and interior luminaires. Their products combine functional design with durable materials, designed for both architectural projects and home renovations.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, make sure the wall where it will be fixed is solid and free of structural moisture. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially in outdoor installations where cables are exposed to weather conditions. Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the values indicated in the technical datasheet before connecting the lamp.

For maintenance, clean the surface of the wall light with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive products or solvents that could damage the white aluminum finish. Avoid directing jets of water directly onto the lamp during cleaning.

Design and use

The KOV wall light has a straight-lined design with a compact profile. Its dimensions — 212 mm high, 80 mm long, and 87 mm deep — make it a discreet piece that does not visually overload the façade or wall where it is installed. The white aluminum body fits well in both contemporary outdoor settings and more neutral or minimalist spaces.

The COB LED light source is recessed inside the wall light, which concentrates the light beam and reduces unwanted dispersion. This is especially useful at house entrances or access points where it is necessary to illuminate a path or highlight an architectural element without the lamp itself drawing too much attention. The 3000K color temperature produces a warm light that is pleasant in both gardens and private terraces.

One of the most practical aspects of this wall light is the ability to choose between two lighting angles: 14° and 23°. The narrower angle concentrates the light beam in a smaller, more defined area, useful for highlighting textures or materials on a wall. The wider angle distributes the light over a larger surface, which is more functional for illuminating walkways or access points. The wall light can be oriented upward or downward according to the specific needs of each installation.

The option to mount the lamp both vertically and horizontally expands placement options. This is relevant in situations where the available wall space is limited or when the exterior design calls for a specific arrangement of luminaires.

The built-in drainage system is a technical design detail that has direct consequences for the durability of the wall light. When rainwater comes into contact with the lamp, the system directs it outward without allowing it to accumulate inside the body. This reduces the risk of internal moisture damage and extends the product's service life in climates where rain is frequent.

In a garden, this wall light can be used to illuminate the perimeter wall or mark the route to a terrace. On residential façades, it can be installed on both sides of a front door to create a well-lit entrance. It also works well in interior courtyards or covered spaces where natural light is scarce for much of the day.

The weight of 1.23 kg makes it easy to fix onto any conventional wall without the need for special anchors. The LED light source is included, so no additional purchase is required to start using the installation from day one.

Questions and answers

Can the lighting angle be changed once the wall light is installed?

The KOV wall light allows you to choose between two angles, 14° and 23°, but this selection is made before or during installation. It is not designed to be adjusted continuously once mounted on the wall.

Can the wall light be mounted horizontally without losing functionality?

Yes. The design of the wall light allows both vertical and horizontal installation. In both positions the lamp functions correctly and maintains the direction of light according to the chosen orientation.

Is the LED light source included or does it need to be purchased separately?

The COB LED light source is included with the wall light. No additional components need to be purchased to begin using it after installation.
