Overview

The GRADA wall light by FARO is a wall lamp designed for outdoor spaces. It is mounted directly on the wall and projects the light beam downward, making it especially useful for illuminating walkways, entrances, terraces, and gardens.

The body is made of aluminum with a dark gray finish that integrates well into contemporary facades without drawing too much attention. The opal glass diffuser distributes light softly, without intense bright spots. The SMD LED light source is included and operates with warm light at 3000K, creating a pleasant atmosphere at dusk or during the night.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in indoor and outdoor lighting. Their products combine functional design with materials built to last under real-world conditions of use.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, make sure the electrical power is completely switched off. The fixture is wall-mounted, so it is advisable to verify that the surface is firm and capable of supporting the weight of the assembly. If the installation is outdoors, it is recommended that a qualified electrician carry it out, ensuring the connections and the sealing of the anchor point against moisture are properly secured. The driver is included, which simplifies the process.

For maintenance, simply clean the aluminum body with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the dark gray finish. The glass diffuser can be cleaned in the same way. Do not handle the lamp while the power is connected.

Design and use

The GRADA wall light has a compact and clean profile. With only 46 mm of depth, it does not protrude too much from the wall, making it suitable for both tighter spaces and wider walls where a neat visual line is desired. Its dimensions of 128 x 157 mm give it sufficient presence without being bulky.

The aluminum body is resistant to typical outdoor conditions. This material does not oxidize easily and maintains its finish well over time. The dark gray works well on surfaces of different tones: concrete, stone, stucco, or modern cladding. It is a color that does not stand out excessively during the day and, when the lamp is switched on, offers a pleasant contrast with the warm LED light.

The opal glass diffuser is one of the aspects most noticeable in the final result. Unlike wall lights with a transparent diffuser, the opal prevents direct visibility of the light source and distributes the illumination more evenly. The beam is directed downward, which is ideal for guiding movement on terraces, marking access to an entrance, or providing sufficient light to a garden without dazzling those in the space.

The color temperature of 3000K corresponds to warm light. This type of light is softer than neutral white and creates a more welcoming atmosphere during nighttime hours. For a garden or terrace where visual comfort is sought rather than task lighting, this temperature range is a good choice.

The GRADA wall light pairs well with other outdoor lighting elements. If the garden or facade already has ground luminaires or adjustable spotlights, this wall light adds an additional layer of light at an intermediate height, without visually competing with the rest. It also works as the sole light source in small entrances or walkways where high power output is not needed.

For those looking for a functional light source at a house entrance, on the sides of a garage, or along a garden path, the GRADA meets that need discreetly. It does not include a motion sensor, so switching it on and off depends on the wall switch or the home automation system already installed. It also does not feature a solar panel, so it requires a standard electrical connection of 220V–240V.

In terms of consumption, the 3W power output is sufficient to illuminate a walkway without generating significant electricity costs. For spaces that require greater light coverage, more than one wall light can be installed along the wall, maintaining visual consistency thanks to the same finish.

Questions and answers

Does the GRADA wall light include the light source, or does it need to be purchased separately?

The 3W SMD LED light source is included. No additional bulb needs to be purchased to get the wall light up and running.

Does the opal glass diffuser affect the amount of light that reaches the outside?

The opal diffuser softens and distributes the light evenly, which reduces direct glare. For a terrace or walkway, this type of diffuser is suitable, as it provides comfortable illumination without dazzling.

Can this wall light be installed in an area exposed to rain or direct sunlight?

The wall light is categorized for outdoor use. To confirm whether it is suitable for your specific location based on the level of water exposure, please consult the full technical datasheet or contact our customer service before carrying out the installation.
