Overview

The FARO wall light is a lamp designed for outdoor use: terraces, entrances, facades, and garden areas where stable, discreet lighting is needed. Its rounded shape and opal diffuser give it a clean look that suits different architectural styles, from modern homes to properties with a more classic finish.

The lamp includes an integrated 7W LED source with warm light at 3000K. There is no need to buy a bulb separately or worry about immediate replacement. The polycarbonate diffuser spreads light gently, without high-contrast zones or direct glare.

FARO is a brand with a long track record in indoor and outdoor lighting. Their products combine durable materials with functional design, aimed at those looking for a long-lasting solution without installation or maintenance complications.

Installation and specifications

Preparation and installation: This wall light is fixed directly to the wall using the included anchors. Before installing, make sure the surface is dry and level. Electrical wiring must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Turn off the power before starting any work on the wiring. Check that the mains voltage is compatible with the indicated 220V–240V.

Use and care: To clean the surface of the wall light, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the ABS body or the polycarbonate diffuser. Do not cover the lamp with materials that prevent heat dissipation. Periodically check the anchors to make sure they remain firmly fixed to the wall.

Design and use

The FARO wall light has a low-profile design that works well in spaces where you don't want the lamp to draw too much attention. With just 54 mm of depth, it doesn't protrude excessively from the wall and takes up little visual space. At the same time, its 200 mm length gives it enough presence to effectively illuminate an entrance, a garden path, or a terrace.

The ABS body is lightweight, with a net weight of 0.34 kg, which simplifies installation on various types of walls. The dark grey color of the body is a neutral finish that does not compete with other elements of the facade. It works well on stone or exposed brick walls as well as on plastered or painted surfaces.

The opal polycarbonate diffuser is one of the most practical features of this wall light. Polycarbonate is a material known for its impact resistance and stability against temperature variations, making it suitable for continuous outdoor use. The opal texture softens the LED light source's emission, distributing light evenly over the surface to be illuminated.

The integrated LED source emits warm light at 3000K. This tone of light is closer to that of a classic incandescent bulb, which is pleasant in rest areas or nighttime passageways. On a terrace, for example, this type of light creates a more intimate atmosphere than cool or neutral light. In the garden, it helps define the boundaries of the space without creating a sense of excessive exposure.

With 7W of power, the wall light is energy-efficient. Although it does not have an integrated motion sensor, it can be combined with external detectors or timer switches if you want to automate switching. Many installers opt for this type of solution when there are several light points spread across the facade or garden.

The wall light also works well at covered entrances, porches, and transitional areas between indoors and outdoors. In these situations, the warm light from the LED source provides visibility without being intrusive. As a surface luminaire fixed to the wall, it does not require ceiling work or additional structures, making it easy to install in already finished spaces.

For those renovating the exterior lighting of their home, this wall light can be combined with other luminaires from the same range or with similar finishes. The dark grey of the body pairs easily with window frames, doors, or metal fixtures in dark tones, but also contrasts pleasantly with light-colored walls.

Questions and answers

Does the wall light include the LED source or does it need to be purchased separately?

The lamp includes the integrated 7W SMD LED source. No additional bulb is needed to get it up and running.

Does the polycarbonate diffuser withstand impacts and temperature changes outdoors?

Polycarbonate is a material recognized for its impact resistance and stability against thermal variations. It is a common choice for outdoor luminaires precisely because of these properties.

Is this wall light compatible with external motion sensor systems?

The wall light does not include its own motion sensor. However, it can be connected to external detectors or timer switches that are compatible with its 220V–240V voltage.
