Overview

The FARO outdoor wall light is a wall lamp designed for outdoor spaces such as the garden, terrace, or home entrance. Its construction in 304 stainless steel and opal polycarbonate diffuser makes it weather-resistant, without compromising its aesthetics. The satin finish on the body gives it a refined look that fits well in both modern settings and more neutral facades.

What sets this wall light apart is the solidity of its materials combined with a compact design. It does not take up much space on the wall, yet distributes light evenly thanks to the opal diffuser, which prevents direct bright spots. Compatible with an E27 LED bulb, it allows you to choose the color temperature that best suits the outdoor environment.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in lighting. Its outdoor luminaires are designed to last, without losing visual presence over time.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, make sure the area of the wall where it will be mounted is clean, dry, and level. A power outlet on the wall is required, or the wiring must be routed before installation. As this is an outdoor luminaire, it is advisable to have the electrical work carried out by a qualified professional, especially if the area is exposed to rain or humidity. Check that the wall support is firm and that the screws are properly tightened.

To keep the lamp in good condition, clean the body occasionally with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or those containing chlorine, as they can damage the satin finish of the steel. The polycarbonate diffuser can be cleaned with water and mild soap. Do not use solvents. When replacing the E27 bulb, make sure to disconnect the power before touching it.

Design and use

This wall light from the FARO brand is designed to illuminate outdoor spaces for everyday use. The garden, terrace, or main entrance of a home are the most common places where this type of lamp finds its place. Direct mounting on the wall makes it a stable solution with no hanging elements that could be affected by wind or other factors typical of outdoor environments.

The body is made of 304 stainless steel, a material that performs well against moisture, temperature changes, and sunlight. The satin stainless finish does not over-reflect and holds up well over time. It is a type of surface that requires no constant maintenance and does not alter its appearance with normal outdoor use.

The opal polycarbonate diffuser serves an important function: it filters the light from the bulb and distributes it more softly across the space. This prevents the direct glare produced by other types of transparent covers. The light that reaches the garden or terrace is uniform, without harsh shadows or areas of excessive contrast.

The wall light works with an E27 LED bulb, which is not included. This allows the buyer to choose the type of bulb that best suits their needs: warmer for a social terrace, more neutral for a functional entrance or passageway. The maximum accepted wattage is 15 W, sufficient to illuminate a medium-sized space without generating excessive energy consumption.

The dimensions of the wall light are compact: 220 mm high, 160 mm long, and 85 mm deep. On the wall, it takes up little space and does not visually interfere with other decorative elements. The weight of 0.51 kg makes it easy to handle during installation.

This lamp model integrates well with other materials present outdoors, such as treated wood, stone, or exposed concrete. On a terrace with simply lined furniture, the wall light does not look out of place. On a garden wall with vegetation in the background, its satin finish creates a subtle contrast that works well at night when it is switched on.

Placed at the appropriate height, the bulb illuminates the ground and the surrounding area without the need to add other light points. For larger terraces or garden paths, several wall lights can be installed in a regular line along the wall or exterior boundary, achieving continuous and balanced lighting. The lamp does not include a motion sensor, but it can be integrated into home automation systems or used with an external detector if the installer considers it appropriate.

Questions and answers

Is the 304 stainless steel body sufficiently resistant for areas with frequent rain or a marine environment?

304 stainless steel offers good corrosion resistance under typical outdoor conditions, including rain and humidity. For environments with high concentrations of salt in the air, such as heavily exposed coastal areas, it may be advisable to consult the manufacturer about more specific options.

What is the maximum size of E27 bulb this wall light can accept without exceeding its limits?

The maximum accepted wattage is 15 W with an E27 LED light source. It is not recommended to exceed this value in order to ensure correct lamp operation and to preserve the materials of the polycarbonate diffuser.

Does the 100V-240V voltage range allow this wall lamp to be installed in countries with electrical networks different from the Spanish one?

Yes, the accepted voltage range covers both 110V and 220V-240V networks, making the wall light compatible with electrical installations in different countries without the need for voltage adapters.
