Installation and specifications

For installation, it is necessary to prepare access to an outdoor power outlet or suitable underground conduit. The spike is driven directly into the ground, so it is advisable to choose an area where the soil is free of roots or stones that could prevent stable fixing. Before connecting, make sure that the outdoor wiring complies with local outdoor installation regulations and that the connection is carried out by a qualified electrician.

For maintenance, simply clean the aluminum surface with a damp cloth when necessary. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the black finish. Do not submerge the luminaire in water or direct pressure jets directly onto it.

Design and use

The BROT 200 spike from FARO has a clean, geometric line that fits well both in contemporary design gardens and in more understated spaces where outdoor lighting serves a functional role without exaggerated decorative pretensions. The body is aluminum in black, a material that holds up well under outdoor use conditions and that, furthermore, adds no unnecessary weight — at just 0.5 kg, it is easy to handle during installation.

The color temperature of 2700K provides warm light, similar to that of an electric candle, which is especially pleasant for a garden or patio at night. This type of light does not create the cold, clinical effect that other outdoor spotlights sometimes produce, but instead sets the atmosphere of the space naturally. One of the most useful features of this lamp is the ability to direct the spotlight. Aluminum is a common material in outdoor luminaires precisely because it does not oxidize easily and withstands temperature changes well. The black finish is applied to resist continuous outdoor use, although it is recommended to periodically check the condition of the surface.
