Installation and specifications

Preparation and installation. This fixture operates at 24V DC, so it requires a compatible transformer or power supply. Before installing, verify that the low-voltage circuit is available or plan its incorporation during construction. The wall recess must match the body dimensions: 100 mm high, 40 mm wide, and 43 mm deep. It is recommended to carry out the recessing before the final wall finish for a clean fit. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Use and maintenance. The aluminum body requires no special maintenance, but the surface should be wiped with a dry or slightly damp cloth when dust or dirt accumulates. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the finish. Do not handle the luminaire while the installation is live.

Design and use

The TIL is a wall recessed light designed exclusively for outdoor use. Its main function is to guide movement along paths, entrances, or circulation areas by projecting light toward the ground in a controlled manner. It is not intended to illuminate a space in a broad sense, but rather to provide a clear visual reference flush with the wall.

The body is made of aluminum, a lightweight and durable material that holds up well under outdoor conditions. The rust brown finish gives it an earthy appearance, close to the tones of fired clay or aged stone. This color allows the fixture to blend easily into exposed brick walls, pigmented mortar, natural stone, or warm-toned claddings. In a garden with vegetation and natural materials, it goes almost unnoticed during the day.

The diffuser is made of clear glass, allowing light to emerge directly and without loss of intensity. Since it is directed downward, it does not cause glare when walking nearby. The 2700K color temperature produces a warm light, similar to that of a candle or a traditional incandescent bulb. In nighttime outdoor settings, that warm tone feels welcoming and is not harsh on the eye.

The TIL fixture is well suited to entrances of single-family homes, garden paths, garage access areas, or outdoor staircases. It can also be used to mark the perimeter of a terrace or the edge of a patio. In all these cases, the goal is the same: to indicate where it is safe to walk without resorting to a larger lamp or a post that would alter the composition of the space.

A motion sensor is not included in this model, but if you wish to incorporate that type of activation, it can be managed from the outdoor circuit using a standalone detector compatible with 24VDC installations. Likewise, solar power does not directly feed this luminaire, which depends on a conventional low-voltage electrical installation.

Questions and answers

Can this recessed light be installed connected directly to the 230V mains?

No. The TIL operates at 24V DC, so it requires a transformer or power supply to convert the mains voltage. This conversion must be included in the installation before fitting the fixture.

Does the clear glass diffuser affect the direction of the light?

The glass does not redirect the beam, nor does it diffuse it. The light exits directly and is directed toward the ground according to the orientation of the light source. This allows clear path marking without lateral dispersion.

Does the rust brown finish on the aluminum body withstand moisture and prolonged outdoor exposure?

Aluminum is a material that holds up well in outdoor use. The rust brown finish is applied to the body to protect it and maintain its appearance over time under normal exposure conditions.
