Overview

The FARO outdoor recessed wall light is designed to illuminate gardens, terraces, facades and entrances in a discreet and efficient way. It is installed directly on the wall, without protruding too much, and provides a warm, continuous light that marks pathways or highlights the boundaries of an outdoor space.

This wall light combines an aluminium body with a transparent glass diffuser. The result is a lamp that holds up well in outdoor conditions without losing visual presence. The 8W, 3000K LED source provides a warm light, similar to that of a traditional bulb, which does not distort the colours of the surroundings and creates a pleasant atmosphere after dark.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in lighting. Their outdoor products are designed to last and to integrate naturally into different types of spaces, from modern gardens to facades with a more classic style.

Installation and specifications

To install this wall light on the exterior wall, it is advisable to have basic electrical knowledge or to entrust the work to a qualified technician. Before starting, make sure to cut the power at the electrical panel. The wall where the installation is carried out must be dry and offer a solid surface on which to securely fix the wall light. The driver is included, so it does not need to be purchased separately.

To keep the wall light in good condition, clean the aluminium body with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the matte white finish. The glass diffuser can be cleaned in the same way. Do not handle the luminaire while the power is connected.

Design and use

The FARO recessed wall light has a compact profile that blends in without drawing too much attention. With a depth of just 73 mm, it does not protrude excessively from the wall, making it suitable for outdoor corridors, entrances and passageways where lateral space is limited.

The body is made of aluminium, a lightweight yet sturdy material that withstands temperature changes and outdoor humidity well. The matte white finish gives it a clean, neutral appearance that suits both contemporary facades and more traditional settings. It is not an eye-catching or overly decorative spotlight: it simply does its job and does so with discretion.

The diffuser is made of transparent glass, which allows the LED light to pass through without excessive filtering. This makes the luminaire useful as a marker light: it indicates an entrance, defines a path in the garden or marks the boundary of a terrace without creating an annoying glare. The colour temperature of 3000K produces a warm light, similar to that of a candle or a traditional incandescent bulb, which is not harsh on the eyes and works well in spaces where a calm atmosphere is desired at dusk.

The built-in 8W LED source consumes far less than a conventional bulb for a comparable amount of light. Since the driver is included with the product, installation is more straightforward: there is no need to source additional components or check for compatibility.

This wall light fits well in garden entrances where it is necessary to visually indicate the presence of a step, a door or a change in level. It also works well on terrace, balcony or patio walls, where grazing illumination across the wall creates a depth effect that gives a sense of spaciousness to the area. At the entrances to single-family homes or apartment blocks with gardens, it serves a marking function without the need to install a larger lantern.

Although this wall light does not include a motion sensor, it can be combined with an external timer or twilight switches to automate its operation according to available sunlight. In this way, it switches on automatically at nightfall and turns off without the need for manual intervention.

As for compatibility with other outdoor elements, the matte white finish of the body harmonises with white window frames, railings painted in neutral tones or light-coloured paving. In gardens with abundant vegetation, it contrasts naturally with the green tones, making the wall light visible without the need to highlight it artificially.
