Overview

The FARO recessed wall light is a discreet and efficient solution for illuminating gardens, terraces, entrances and facades. It installs directly into the wall without protruding too much, and provides warm, continuous light that marks the path or clearly defines the boundaries of an outdoor space.

This LED recessed light is especially useful for signage: it indicates steps, path edges or level changes in areas with little natural lighting. The 3000K colour temperature generates a warm tone that integrates well with vegetation, stone and other common materials in gardens or patios.

FARO is a brand with a track record in residential and outdoor lighting. Their products are designed to be installed once and work well for a long time, with materials that withstand outdoor conditions without deteriorating quickly.

Installation and specifications

For installation, it is necessary to prepare a recess in the wall with the appropriate dimensions for the included mounting box. The wiring must reach the point before securing the box. It is recommended to carry out the assembly with the electrical installation switched off and, if there is no prior experience, to have an electrician on hand.

The aluminium housing requires no special maintenance. Simply clean the surface with a slightly damp cloth to remove accumulated dust or dirt. Avoid the use of abrasive products or solvents that could damage the dark grey finish.

Design and use

The FARO outdoor wall light is made of aluminium, a material that combines lightness with durability. In a garden or exterior wall environment, that matters: it does not rust easily, does not deform due to temperature changes, and maintains its appearance for years without the need for additional treatments. The dark grey colour of the body adapts well to both light surfaces and stone or cement walls, without drawing excessive attention.

The diffuser is made of polycarbonate with an opal finish. This material distributes light evenly, without creating bright spots or harsh shadows. The result is a soft light that spreads across the wall surface and the nearby floor, improving visibility without straining the eyes. In a garden or terrace, this translates into functional lighting that is not aggressive.

The light source is an integrated 1W SMD LED with a colour temperature of 3000K. This warm tone is the one that works best in natural outdoor settings: it highlights the browns, greens and greys typical of a garden or facade without distorting colours. It does not produce the cold, artificial effect of intense white light. For outdoor signage, it is a practical combination: sufficient to see clearly, without excessive brightness.

The recessed light has IP65 protection, meaning it is sealed against rain and dust. It can be installed in areas exposed to water without issue, provided the mounting has been carried out correctly. This makes it suitable for humid climates or for locations where the light is directly exposed to rain, such as the exterior wall of an entrance or a garden wall without a roof.

The mounting box and driver are included in the package. There is no need to source additional components for installation. The light connects to the standard electrical network and operates at voltages between 100V and 240V, compatible with any standard Spanish domestic installation.

As for dimensions, the light measures 90 x 90 x 70 mm. It is a compact format that does not visually dominate the wall or create large shadows. It can be placed at regular intervals to create a continuous line of light along a path, staircase or wall, or installed individually to mark an access point or border a specific area of the garden.

In spaces such as an interior patio or a covered terrace, the light works equally well. The IP65 protection allows it to be placed in areas exposed to splashing or ambient humidity without affecting its performance. On a narrow balcony, the reduced profile of the recessed light prevents it from protruding and obstructing passage.

The integrated lamp does not require regular replacement, reducing the need to access the recessed light once installed. This is a detail that is appreciated when the location is not easily accessible.
