Overview

The GRUND BAÑADOR by FARO is an outdoor recessed spotlight designed to be installed in the ground and project light upward, illuminating walls, facades, and vertical elements with a warm tone of 2700K. It is an option designed for projects where more intense wall lighting is needed than what a standard luminaire offers.

This recessed spotlight operates at 24V DC and includes a LED module of up to 13W. The transparent glass diffuser allows light to pass through without interference, concentrating the beam where it is needed. The body is made of satin stainless steel, which gives it good resistance to moisture and continuous outdoor use.

FARO is a Spanish brand with a track record in lighting for residential spaces and interior design projects. Their outdoor products combine functionality with a refined finish, making them suitable for both private gardens and terraces or home entrances.

Installation and specifications

To install this recessed ground spotlight, it is necessary to prepare a junction box appropriate to the size of the product. Since it operates at 24V DC, the system requires an external power supply compatible with that voltage. It is recommended that the electrical installation be carried out by a professional, especially outdoors where there is exposure to moisture. Before securing the spotlight to the floor, make sure the wiring is well protected and that the bottom of the box is level to prevent the light angle from being misaligned.

The satin stainless steel body does not require special maintenance, but it is advisable to clean it occasionally with a slightly damp soft cloth to remove dust or residue that may accumulate. Avoid using abrasive products or solvents on the surface or on the diffuser glass. Do not touch the LED module directly during operation, as it may reach a certain temperature.

Design and use

The GRUND BAÑADOR is an outdoor recessed ground spotlight with a compact, circular design that allows it to be integrated into various surfaces without being visually intrusive. Its total diameter is 80 mm and its height is 80 mm, which makes it easy to install in the floor of a terrace, a garden, a patio, or alongside the facade of a home.

The body made of satin stainless steel provides solidity without adding excessive weight. It is a material that tolerates outdoor exposure well and maintains its appearance over time without rusting or deteriorating easily. The satin finish gives it a discreet appearance that does not attract attention during the day but fulfills its function well when switched on at dusk.

The transparent glass diffuser lets the light beam pass through directly, without dispersing it too much. This makes the spotlight particularly effective as a wall-washing luminaire, that is, for projecting light onto a wall, a facade, or any vertical surface that is to be highlighted. The color temperature of 2700K produces a warm light that softens the textures of the wall and creates a pleasant atmosphere both in gardens with vegetation and in stone or brick entrances.

This recessed spotlight is suitable for installation in the floor of a patio, on the sides of an entrance path, on the perimeter of a terrace, or at the edge of a landscaped area where a specific element such as a tree, a stone wall, or a column is to be highlighted. It can also be used in residential facade lighting projects where a carefully considered visual effect is sought without resorting to large spotlights.

By operating at 24V DC, this spotlight integrates easily into low-voltage outdoor lighting systems, common in garden installations where working with centralized transformers is preferred. The included 13W LED module offers greater power than other models in the same range, making it useful in situations where greater light intensity is needed on the wall or the illuminated element.

The combination of stainless steel with transparent glass gives it a clean, functional appearance that fits well with contemporary-style exteriors but also with more natural settings where the product's discreetness is important. It does not stand out visually during the day, allowing the spotlight to integrate without interrupting the overall appearance of the space.

Questions and answers
