The FARO recessed floor luminaire is a solution designed for those who want to shape outdoor spaces without sacrificing discretion. It is installed flush with the floor, integrated into the pavement, and from there it projects warm light upward that defines paths, delimits walkways and adds visual depth to the garden or terrace.

It is a 2W spotlight with SMD type LED that operates at a color temperature of 2700K. That means soft light, without the cold tone of conventional lamps. The result in a garden or patio is a calm atmosphere, without harsh contrasts.

Installation and specifications

For installation it is necessary to prepare a recess in the floor with the measurements corresponding to the diameter of the spotlight. As this is a recessed outdoor luminaire, the wiring must be protected and the installation box must be compatible with use in wet areas. It is recommended that the electrical connection be carried out by a qualified installer. The LED light source is not included, so it must be purchased separately before commissioning. Verify that the chosen light source is compatible with the specifications of the spotlight.

For maintenance, simply clean the outer surface of the recessed fitting with a damp cloth and, if necessary, with a mild detergent. Avoid abrasive products that could damage the black anodized finish of the aluminum body. The diffuser glass can be cleaned with the same means. Do not disassemble it under conditions of extreme humidity or when connected to the electrical network.

Design and use

The body of this recessed floor luminaire is made of 316L stainless steel combined with aluminium, two materials that withstand continuous outdoor exposure well. The black anodized finish is not just an aesthetic choice: it protects the surface against oxidation and maintains the original appearance over time.

The transparent glass diffuser allows light to pass through without distortion, and the honeycomb panel included in the design reduces direct glare. This is especially useful when the spotlight is visible from walkways: the light is perceived without being uncomfortable to the eye.

With IP67, this recessed fitting tolerates temporary immersion in water, not just rain. It is a protection designed for real outdoor conditions: puddles, garden irrigation, heavy rainfall. The IK08 resistance guarantees that the spotlight withstands mechanical impacts, which is relevant when installed in pedestrian traffic areas or near play areas.

The maximum rolling load of 1000 kg allows it to be placed on surfaces that may be crossed by light vehicles, bicycles or garden carts. This considerably expands the installation options in the yard or on paved access areas of the facade.

The color temperature of 2700K places this lamp in the warm range. In a garden, that tone reinforces the sense of nocturnal warmth found in well-designed spaces. On a terrace, it helps make the atmosphere more inviting without the coldness of white light. On the floor of a facade entrance, it helps to distinguish the path in a subtle and continuous way.

The square format of 37 mm makes it a very low-profile spotlight. When installed flush with the ground it integrates into the pavement without visually interrupting the surface. Ground recessed lighting has a different logic from wall spotlights or elevated projectors. Instead of illuminating from above, the light emerges from the floor and draws the space from the bottom up. Does this recessed floor fitting withstand vehicle traffic or only pedestrian transit?

The spotlight has a rolling load resistance of up to 1000 kg, which allows the passage of light vehicles, bicycles or small garden machinery without the luminaire being damaged.

Is IP67 protection sufficient to install it in areas with sprinkler irrigation or temporary flooding?

Yes. The IP67 rating implies complete protection against dust and resistance to temporary immersion in water, so the spotlight is prepared for outdoor conditions with direct irrigation or occasional water accumulation.

Is the honeycomb panel factory-fitted or does it need to be installed separately?

The honeycomb panel is included with the recessed fitting and is part of the assembly as supplied. It does not require additional installation by the user.

If upon receiving the product you detect any manufacturing defect, you have 30 days to report it. Each case is handled individually: write to us with a description of the problem and, if possible, a photograph of the damage. From there we look for the most appropriate solution, whether that is replacement of the item or resolution of the incident in another way.
