Overview

SCREEN is a technical lighting collection designed for outdoor spaces. This wall-mounted lamp works well in gardens, patios, building entrances, and parks. It attaches directly to the wall and provides light directed toward the ground or the perimeter, depending on the chosen variant. It is a solid option when you need to illuminate a path, an access point, or a transit area without installing a post or a freestanding structure.

The lantern is made of aluminum and transparent polycarbonate. It is impact-resistant with IK10 certification, making it suitable for environments where accidental physical contact is possible. It also features IP65 protection, which ensures continuous operation in rain and in the presence of dust or solid particles. The integrated LED offers a color temperature of 2700K, producing warm light without visual harshness.

FARO is a Spanish brand with a track record in the design and manufacture of luminaires. Its outdoor collection combines technical criteria with careful finishes, aimed at both residential installations and larger-scale projects.

Installation and specifications

For installation, it is recommended to work with the electrical supply switched off. The wall fixture is anchored directly to the vertical surface using the included fixing points. Before mounting the lantern, it is advisable to verify that the wall can support the fixing and that the wiring reaches the intended point. As this is an outdoor lamp with IP65 rating, the seal must be properly adjusted after installation to maintain the certified protection.

The aluminum body requires no special treatment. To clean the surface, a damp cloth without abrasive products is sufficient. The transparent polycarbonate diffuser may accumulate dust over time; it can be easily cleaned with water and a soft cloth. The lamp should not be disassembled for routine cleaning. Any intervention inside the unit must be carried out with the electrical supply disconnected.

Design and use

The SCREEN lamp in its wall-mounted version is a compact luminaire that adapts to multiple outdoor contexts. Its dark grey aluminum body gives it a discreet appearance that does not visually interfere with the surroundings. In gardens with dense vegetation or on facades with neutral tones, the lantern blends in without drawing excessive attention. It is the kind of piece that fulfills its function without taking center stage.

The transparent polycarbonate diffuser allows the COB LED light to be projected clearly. The 360º variant distributes the illumination symmetrically around the lantern, which is useful when you want to cover an area without shadow zones. The wide variant, on the other hand, dissipates light over a greater distance, ideal for long pathways or for illuminating stretches of garden from a single installation point on the wall.

In an access patio, a lantern like this guides movement without the need to install ground-level bollards or resort to a larger post. Mounted at an appropriate height on the wall, it can cover a sufficient area to move comfortably during low-light hours. On a terrace, it serves a similar function: it defines the space and provides functional light without occupying usable surface area.

For installations in parks or communal areas, the IK10 resistance is a relevant feature. Unlike an indoor lamp adapted for outdoor use, this lantern is designed from the outset to withstand adverse conditions. The IP65 protection covers not only rain, but also accumulated dust and other solid elements that are inevitable outdoors.

The integrated 14W, 2700K LED produces warm light that does not distort the colors of the surroundings. In a garden with plants or wooden elements, this lighting tone is more natural than cool light. It does not flicker, and its consumption is moderate for the level of light it provides.

The SCREEN collection is designed for installations that require long-term reliability. It does not depend on sensors or additional systems to operate, which simplifies both installation and maintenance. It is a straightforward option for those looking for outdoor lights that are durable and easy to manage.

Questions and answers

Does the SCREEN wall-mounted lamp include the light source, or does it need to be purchased separately?

The 14W COB LED light source is included in the lantern. No additional components need to be purchased to put it into operation.

What is the difference between the 360º variant and the wide variant of this lamp?

The 360º option distributes light symmetrically in all directions around the lantern. The wide variant projects light over a greater distance, allowing larger areas to be covered from a single installation point on the wall.

Is IP65 protection sufficient to install this lantern in an area directly exposed to rain?

Yes. The IP65 rating indicates that the lamp is protected against water jets from any direction, and is also completely dust-tight. It is suitable for outdoor use with direct exposure to rain.
