Overview

The RUSH wall light by FARO is an outdoor luminaire designed for spaces where light needs to work well regardless of conditions. It is designed to be mounted on a wall, making it ideal for gardens, patios, house entrances and terraces. It does not depend on any post and requires no ground installation: it is fixed directly to the wall and integrates into the façade.

The RUSH collection combines aluminium and polycarbonate in a structure that resists impact and the test of time. With an IP65 rating, water and dust do not compromise its operation. If you are looking for a lamp that can withstand outdoor conditions without needing to be protected or removed depending on the season, this wall light is a good fit.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in lighting. Their products are designed with clear technical criteria and are intended for both residential and professional installations.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, check that the wall where you are going to fix the lamp is dry and solid. Mark the anchor points precisely so that the wall light is level. Make sure to cut the power before connecting the cables. If you do not have experience with electrical installations, it is recommended that an electrician handles the mounting. The supported voltage ranges from 100 V to 240 V, so it is compatible with the standard electrical grid.

To clean the surface of the body, use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the dark grey finish. The transparent polycarbonate diffuser is also cleaned with a damp cloth. Although the IP65 rating protects against water, do not submerge the luminaire or expose it to direct pressurised jets.

Design and use

The RUSH wall light is part of a technical outdoor lighting collection. Each element of the collection follows the same construction criteria: aluminium for the body, polycarbonate for the diffuser, IK10 mechanical resistance and IP65 protection against rain and solids. This makes it a luminaire ready to remain outdoors throughout the year, without needing to be stored or protected.

The aluminium body provides solidity without adding weight. The dark grey finish works well with modern façades, concrete walls, stone or brick. It is not a decorative lamp in a vintage or rustic style: its design is sober and functional, intended to blend in without drawing excessive attention.

The transparent polycarbonate diffuser allows light to pass through directly. The 360-degree option distributes the illumination symmetrically around the post or wall where it is installed, covering the space well without leaving unlit areas. The wide variant, on the other hand, projects light over a greater distance, which is useful in large gardens or at entrances where visibility is needed over more metres.

The light source is an integrated COB-type LED, with a colour temperature of 3000 K. This warm tone is soft on the eyes and creates a calm atmosphere. In a patio or garden, that type of light invites you to be outdoors without the harshness of cooler tones. On stone or gravel ground, warm light highlights textures in a natural way.

With a maximum power of 14 W, energy consumption is low. The lamp operates over a wide voltage range, from 100 V to 240 V, making it compatible without adapters in any standard domestic installation.

Its dimensions are compact: 250 mm in height and 160 mm in the other measurements. It does not take up much space on the wall and does not protrude excessively. This makes it suitable for narrow walls, columns, entrance pillars or any area where a larger luminaire would be out of proportion.

Regarding installation, the wall light mounts directly onto the wall. It does not require a post, ground bollards or any additional structure. This considerably simplifies the work if you already have a connection box in the wall.

This wall light can be used as the sole light source along a short section of façade, or combined with other units from the same RUSH collection to cover longer stretches. It also works well alongside ground bollards or post luminaires of the same technical style, without any visual conflict between elements.

Questions and answers

What level of protection does this wall light offer against rain and dust?

The lamp has IP65 certification, which guarantees total protection against dust ingress and resistance to water jets from any direction. It is suitable for outdoor use throughout the year.

Is the light source included or does it need to be purchased separately?

The COB LED is already integrated into the lamp. There is no need to purchase or install any additional bulb.

What is the difference between the 360º option and the wide variant of this collection?

The 360-degree option distributes light symmetrically around the installation point. The wide variant projects the beam over a greater distance, which is useful when a larger area needs to be illuminated from a single point, such as an entrance or a garden path.
