Overview

The FARO RUSH 3700 street light is an outdoor luminaire designed to illuminate gardens, parks and open spaces where stable and long-lasting light is needed. With a height of 3.7 metres, it covers wide areas without leaving dark corners. The asymmetric 180º distribution option allows the lighting to be directed where it is truly needed, without wasting light towards spaces that do not require it.

The body is made of aluminium and transparent polycarbonate, materials that combine strength and lightness. The IP65 rating guarantees protection against rain and solid particles, making it suitable for outdoor use exposed to changing weather conditions. The IK10 impact resistance adds an extra level of safety in public use environments.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in technical and decorative lighting. Its products are designed for both professional projects and domestic use, and the RUSH collection reflects that balance between functionality and durability.

Installation and specifications

Before installation, ensure that the ground anchor point is level and capable of supporting the vertical structure. This street light is fixed directly to the ground, so it is advisable to prepare a concrete base or a suitable anchoring system depending on the type of terrain. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician, as it involves buried or protected wiring for outdoor use. Check that the installation voltage is compatible with the 220V-240V indicated in the specifications.

For maintenance, clean the body and diffuser with a damp cloth and a mild product, without solvents or abrasives that could damage the polycarbonate. Periodically check the anchor points to ensure the structure remains stable. Do not disassemble the light head without first disconnecting the electrical power.

Design and use

The RUSH 3700 street light is part of a technical outdoor lighting collection developed by FARO. The design of this lamp is intended for open-air spaces where a discreet but effective presence is sought. The dark grey finish integrates well into natural environments such as gardens with vegetation, as well as urban spaces or pedestrian areas.

The aluminium body provides solidity without adding unnecessary weight. It is a material that tolerates temperature changes and humidity well, making it suitable for continuous outdoor use throughout all seasons of the year. The transparent polycarbonate diffuser allows light to pass through with little distortion, making good use of the 38W from the integrated COB LED source.

This lamp emits light at 3000K, a warm colour temperature that creates a calm and pleasant atmosphere when night falls. It is the type of light that suits relaxation spaces, gardens where a welcoming atmosphere is desired, or access paths to a home. Unlike cooler tones, 3000K is not harsh on the eyes and integrates well with vegetation and natural materials.

The 180º distribution option is especially useful when the street light is placed next to a wall, a fence or a property boundary. Instead of projecting the lighting in all directions, it concentrates it towards the side of interest, improving efficiency and avoiding disturbance to adjacent areas. This feature also makes it practical in parks where paths need to be lit without affecting nearby rest areas.

The CASAMBI version allows this street light to be integrated into smart lighting control systems. From an app, it is possible to adjust the intensity or schedule switching times, which is convenient both for private use in a home garden and for managing larger spaces.

With a height of 3.7 metres, this street light covers a generous illumination radius. This is a common measurement for lighting in parks, garden paths and access routes to residential buildings. Its vertical presence also serves a visual function: it marks the space, defines pathways and gives a sense of order to the outdoor environment.

The IP65 rating and IK10 impact resistance are not just technical data. In practice, they mean that this street light can withstand rain, splashing, dusty winds and use in high-traffic areas without deteriorating prematurely. It is the type of product designed to last, not to be replaced every few years.

Questions and answers

What does the asymmetric 180º distribution mean on this street light?

It means that the light is not projected in all directions, but only to one side. This is useful when the street light is installed next to a wall or at the boundary of a garden, as it concentrates the lighting towards the area of interest without illuminating the opposite space.

Is the LED light source included or does it need to be purchased separately?

The 38W COB LED source is included. There is no need to purchase any additional lamp or make any prior adaptations before installation.

What level of protection does it offer against water and impacts?

This street light has an IP65 rating, which guarantees complete protection against dust and against water jets from any direction. It also has IK10 impact resistance, the highest level on this scale, suitable for areas of public use or frequent traffic.
