Overview

The FARO RUSH street light is an outdoor luminaire designed for open spaces where functional and durable lighting is needed. With a height of 3.7 metres, it covers gardens, parks and walkways well, distributing light evenly thanks to the 360-degree illumination option.

This street light combines aluminium and polycarbonate in its construction. The result is a sturdy piece that is unaffected by rain or everyday impacts. The IP65 rating guarantees protection against water and solid particles, and the IK10 index indicates that it withstands impacts with ease. For a garden or a regularly used park, that makes a clear difference.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in lighting. Their outdoor products are designed for real installations, not just laboratory conditions. The RUSH collection is part of that technical line, focused on performance and durability.

Installation and specifications

Preparation and installation. This street light is fixed directly to the ground, so before installing it you should verify that the surface is stable and flat. It is advisable to carry out the wiring with a qualified electrician, as this is an outdoor luminaire connected to the mains. Make sure the earth connection is correctly installed and that the outdoor wiring complies with local regulations.

Use and maintenance. The dark grey body can be cleaned with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the aluminium finish or the polycarbonate diffuser. Since the street light is suitable for outdoor use, it does not require special protective measures against rain, but it is advisable to periodically check the condition of the seals and the fixing to the ground.

Design and use

The FARO RUSH street light has a discreet but effective presence. The dark grey finish integrates well in natural environments such as gardens or parks, without drawing unnecessary attention. It is not a decorative piece in the ornamental sense, but a luminaire that fulfils a specific function: lighting the outdoors reliably.

The aluminium body gives it solidity without adding visual weight. It is a material that withstands temperature variations and continued exposure to the elements well. The transparent polycarbonate diffuser lets light through without distorting it, allowing the lantern to illuminate the space as it was designed to, without losses or bothersome reflections.

The 360-degree illumination option makes this street light a symmetrical solution. This means that light is distributed evenly in all directions, without creating darker areas near the pole. For garden paths or park squares, that type of distribution is more useful than directional lighting, because it covers the surrounding area well without leaving corners unlit.

The COB LED technology at 2700K produces a warm light, similar to that of a classic street lamp but with the energy consumption typical of modern LEDs. That colour temperature fits well in residential outdoor environments, where cold light can seem too intense or industrial. The lantern with this tone creates a calm atmosphere at dusk without sacrificing visibility.

The height of 3.7 metres is appropriate for illuminating a generous strip at ground level without the light source being too close to the eyes. In a private garden or a pedestrian area, that proportion works well both for general lighting and for guiding movement along paths.

The IK10 index is the maximum impact resistance for this type of product. Combined with the IP65 rating, the assembly offers real protection against demanding conditions of use. Rain, wind, dust or minor impacts do not compromise the functioning of the luminaire. This is especially relevant in outdoor installations, where it is not always possible to intervene quickly in the event of any incident.

The RUSH street light adapts well to both private gardens and communal areas of residential communities or small-scale public spaces. Its sober design does not compete with the surroundings, making it compatible with different landscaping styles, from more formal gardens to natural environments with abundant vegetation. The location where it is installed will determine the final effect, but the luminaire works well in almost any outdoor context.

Questions and answers

Does the RUSH street light include the light source or does it need to be purchased separately?

The COB LED light source is included. No additional components need to be purchased for the lighting.

What does an IP65 rating mean and how does it affect its use outdoors?

IP65 indicates that the street light is protected against the ingress of dust and against water jets from any direction. This makes it suitable for outdoor installations without the need for additional protection.

What difference does the 360-degree illumination option make compared to a standard distribution?

The 360-degree distribution emits light symmetrically in all directions around the installation point. This prevents dark areas from forming next to the pole and ensures uniform lighting in the surrounding area.
