Overview

The RUSH floor lamp by FARO is an outdoor luminaire designed to illuminate gardens, parks and green areas where stable, uniform and long-lasting light is needed. With a height of 3.1 metres, it covers a wide area from the ground without the need for additional structures. It is a solid option for those seeking functional lighting in open spaces.

The aluminium body and transparent polycarbonate diffuser allow this floor lamp to withstand demanding weather conditions. IP65 protection ensures that neither rain nor dust affects its operation. IK10 impact resistance adds an extra layer of safety in high-use environments such as public parks or residential entrances.

FARO is a Spanish brand with a long track record in technical and decorative lighting. Its outdoor products combine durability criteria with a clean, discreet design.

Installation and specifications

To install this floor lamp correctly, a solid base must be prepared in the ground before assembly. It is recommended to plan for underground electrical cable routing to the installation point, protected with a corrugated conduit. The connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician, as the luminaire operates at mains voltage of 220V–240V. Before securing the post to the ground, verify that the surface is level so that the floor lamp stands completely vertical.

For maintenance, clean the polycarbonate diffuser with a soft cloth dampened with water. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may scratch the surface. Periodically check the condition of the connections and the exterior sealing to keep the IP65 protection in optimal condition.

Design and use

The RUSH collection is designed for technical outdoor lighting where durability and continuity of service are priorities. This 3.1-metre floor lamp is installed directly in the ground and provides effective light distribution over walkways, private gardens or communal areas of residential developments. The dark grey finish integrates well in contemporary settings without drawing too much attention.

The aluminium body provides structural lightness without sacrificing solidity. The transparent polycarbonate diffuser allows the COB LED light to be projected clearly, without filters that reduce intensity. At 4000K, the colour temperature produces a neutral white light that facilitates night vision without generating the cold feeling associated with higher-temperature light sources.

The 360º variant distributes light symmetrically in all directions, making it a suitable option for the centre of small squares, garden roundabouts or rest areas. When greater reach is needed or a long path must be illuminated, the wide variant extends the beam dispersion sideways, covering more surface area with the same power.

The CASAMBI version allows the floor lamp to be integrated into Bluetooth wireless control systems. This makes it possible to manage switching on, switching off and intensity regulation from a mobile application, without the need to install additional physical dimmers. It is useful in installations where outdoor lighting is to be automated or operating schedules are to be adjusted in a straightforward manner.

IP65 protection covers this luminaire against water ingress in the form of direct rain and against solid particles such as dust. This allows the floor lamp to operate without interruption in climates with frequent rainfall or in areas with high levels of ambient dust. IK10 resistance protects the structure against physical impacts, which becomes important in public-use parks or gardens where activity is constant.

As a floor-mounted luminaire, its integration into the environment is straightforward. It can be placed along a garden path as a marker post, at the entrance of a home or along the edges of a green area to visually define the space at night. The shape of the floor lamp is clean and free of ornate decorative elements, making it compatible with modern-style gardens, newly built urban settings or outdoor space renovations where visual uniformity is sought.

The included COB LED source has a power of 38W, sufficient to cover medium-sized areas without the need to install multiple luminaires within a short radius. Being LED, energy consumption is moderate in relation to the amount of light generated, and the service life is extended compared to conventional light sources.

Questions and answers

Does the RUSH floor lamp include the LED light source or does it need to be purchased separately?

The 38W COB LED light source is included in the floor lamp. No additional components need to be purchased for the luminaire to operate.

What is the difference between the 360º variant and the wide variant of this floor lamp?

The 360º option distributes light symmetrically in all directions around the post. The wide variant extends the lateral beam dispersion, allowing paths or longer surfaces to be illuminated with greater horizontal reach.

Is IP65 protection sufficient to install this floor lamp in areas with heavy rainfall?

Yes. The IP65 rating protects the luminaire against direct water jets, including heavy rain. The sealed body prevents the ingress of moisture and solid particles, ensuring continuous operation in exposed outdoor environments.
