Overview

The RUSH floor lamp by FARO is an outdoor luminaire designed to illuminate gardens, parks and open spaces where stable, well-distributed light is needed that can withstand environmental conditions. With a height of 3.1 metres, it covers a wide area from the ground without the need for additional structures. The 360-degree version distributes light symmetrically in all directions, making it especially useful on pathways, squares or green areas where there is no single focal point.

The body is made of aluminium combined with polycarbonate, materials that hold up well over time outdoors. The IK10 rating indicates resistance to mechanical impacts, and the IP65 classification ensures that neither rain nor dust affects the lamp's operation. This means it can be installed without additional concerns in areas exposed to the elements.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in lighting. Its products combine functional design with solid technical criteria, intended for both professional projects and private home use.

Installation and specifications

For installation, the floor lamp is fixed directly to the ground. It is advisable to hire an electrician for connection to the mains, as it operates at 220V–240V. Before installing it, it is worth checking that the anchor point is level and that the wiring is protected underground in accordance with local regulations for outdoor installations. The CASAMBI version allows it to be integrated into wireless control systems to manage the lighting from an app.

For maintenance, simply clean the surface with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Abrasive products or solvents that could damage the dark grey finish or the polycarbonate diffuser should not be used. Although the IP65 rating provides protection against rain, it is advisable to periodically check that the anchor points and seals are in good condition.

Design and use

The RUSH floor lamp is part of a technical outdoor collection designed for environments where durability and performance matter as much as visual appearance. The combination of aluminium in the body and polycarbonate in the diffuser results in a lightweight yet resistant luminaire that does not require intensive maintenance over time.

The lamp's transparent diffuser allows the COB LED light to emerge with minimal loss, projecting uniformly into the surroundings. At 3000K, the colour temperature produces a warm tone that feels welcoming at nightfall, far from the cold white that can seem harsh in spaces used on a daily basis. This type of light encourages a sense of calm in gardens or passageways, where lighting does not need to be intense but rather continuous and well distributed.

The 360-degree distribution option makes this floor lamp a practical solution for paths and walkways. Instead of projecting light in only one direction, it distributes it in a circular pattern, which reduces shadowed areas around the pole. For a garden with multiple routes or a small square, this type of distribution aids orientation without the need to install multiple light points.

The dark grey finish suits contemporary settings well, but also integrates without clashing in gardens with a more classic or rustic aesthetic. It does not draw attention during the day, and at night it recedes into the background, allowing the light to take centre stage. It can be combined with other pieces from the same RUSH collection to create a coherent installation along a path or perimeter.

The CASAMBI version adds the possibility of controlling the lamp remotely via a Bluetooth home automation system. This allows the light level to be adjusted according to the time of day or on/off schedules to be programmed without the need for additional control wiring. For those who want to manage outdoor lighting more precisely, it is a convenient option that does not complicate the physical installation.

With the LED light source included and a power output of 38 W, the floor lamp is ready to operate from the very first moment. There is no need to purchase additional bulbs or adapters. The standard voltage of 220V–240V makes it compatible with the typical electrical installation in Spain and the rest of Europe.

Questions and answers

Can the RUSH floor lamp be installed in areas where it rains frequently or there is dust in the air?

Yes. It has an IP65 rating, which indicates complete protection against dust and resistance to water jets from any direction. It is suitable for outdoor use in normal weather conditions.

What does the 360º option mean on this floor lamp and what type of space is it most useful for?

The 360-degree distribution projects light symmetrically in all directions around the pole. It is especially useful on pathways, garden roundabouts or central areas of open spaces where uniform lighting is needed with no pronounced shadows on any side.

What is the CASAMBI version and does it require additional installation?

CASAMBI is a Bluetooth wireless control system that allows the lamp to be managed from a mobile app. It does not require additional control wiring; the electrical connection is the same as in any standard installation. The control module is integrated into the floor lamp.
