Overview

BLUB'S is an outdoor lamp post designed to illuminate pathways, garden entrances, pedestrian access routes, and passage areas around the home. Its three-light format makes it a concrete option when you need to cover a long stretch or when a single light source would not be sufficient. It is installed directly in the ground and works with an E27 LED bulb, making it compatible with most current domestic lighting solutions.

The lamp post is made of aluminum with a dark grey finish and an opal PMMA diffuser. The overall appearance is refined without drawing too much attention — it integrates naturally into outdoor spaces without disrupting the aesthetic. For those looking for an outdoor lighting solution that lasts and does not require constant adjustments, this model responds well to that need.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in lighting. Its products are found in both residential projects and public spaces, and the outdoor line is no exception. BLUB'S belongs to that catalog of luminaires designed for real use, not just for the showroom.

Installation and specifications

To install this lamp post in the garden, it is necessary to prepare a base in the ground that supports the pole in a stable manner. It is recommended to anchor the base with mortar or with the appropriate fixing systems for the type of pavement. Since the working voltage accepts between 100V and 240V, it can be connected to the standard domestic power supply without adapters. The electrical installation must be carried out by a qualified professional, especially outdoors where humidity and weather conditions require a safe and protected connection.

The aluminum body withstands continuous outdoor exposure well, but it is advisable to clean the surface occasionally with a damp cloth and neutral soap to prevent the accumulation of dirt or residue. Abrasive products or solvents should not be used. The opal PMMA diffuser can be cleaned in the same way. Before performing any cleaning or bulb replacement, make sure the luminaire is disconnected from the power supply.

Design and use

The BLUB'S lamp post by FARO reflects a contemporary aesthetic that fits well in modern home exteriors, though it also adapts without difficulty to more neutral settings. The dark grey of the aluminum body is not a color that stands out excessively during the day — the lamp post becomes part of the landscape without imposing itself, and at nightfall it fulfills its lighting function in a discreet and uniform manner.

The three-light version is especially useful when distances longer than usual need to be covered. A garden access path, a walkway surrounding the home, an entrance with some width — in all these cases, three light points distributed in a single structure offer more balanced coverage than a conventional single-focus lamp post. The light is not concentrated at a single point but spread along the route.

The opal PMMA diffuser contributes to that soft distribution. The light it emits is neither harsh nor glaring, which is comfortable both for those walking outdoors and for the visual environment of the garden. It does not create that sharp spotlight effect that can be bothersome in spaces used on a daily basis.

Aluminum is the standard material in outdoor luminaires of this range. It is lightweight, does not rust like iron, and maintains its appearance with minimal upkeep. The total weight of the lamp post is 1.67 kg, which makes it easy to transport and handle during installation. Despite that reduced weight, the structure has a height of 2140 mm, making it a lamp post with a real presence within the space.

As for the light source, the lamp post accepts an E27 LED bulb of up to 15W. It does not include a bulb, so it is advisable to have one ready before installation. Compatibility with LED technology allows the color temperature to be chosen according to use: a warmer light for seating areas on the patio or terrace, a more neutral light for access routes and pathways. The working voltage accepts from 100V to 240V, ensuring compatibility with the electrical grid in most countries without additional modifications.

The lamp post can be combined with other garden luminaires of a similar style to maintain a coherent visual line. It also works well alongside vegetation, stone or ceramic walls, and pavements in earth or grey tones. It does not require any motion sensor or solar system — it is a mains-connected lighting solution, designed to operate continuously and stably according to the schedule established.

Questions and answers

Does the BLUB'S lamp post include the E27 LED bulb or does it need to be purchased separately?

The bulb is not included. The lamp post accepts an E27 LED bulb with a maximum power of 15W, which must be purchased separately before proceeding with installation.

What type of base is needed to fix this lamp post in the garden ground?

The fixing is to the ground, so a solid base needs to be prepared with mortar or mechanical anchoring depending on the type of pavement. It is recommended that the installation be carried out by a professional to ensure the stability and safety of the electrical connection outdoors.

Does the opal PMMA diffuser affect the intensity or distribution of the emitted light?

The opal diffuser softens the light and distributes it more uniformly, avoiding glare points. This is especially useful in passageways, where harsh and direct light can be uncomfortable or reduce visibility of the surrounding environment.
