Overview

The FARO wall light is a lamp designed for those looking for something specific: the bulb as the visual centerpiece, with no distracting elements. The body disappears, and what remains is the light. This approach makes it suitable for many types of space, from a quiet bedroom to a hallway with little room for something more bulky.

The satin gold finish gives it presence without feeling overdone. It doesn't compete with the rest of the furniture, but it doesn't go unnoticed either. It's a wall light that works on its own or in pairs, depending on what each corner requires.

FARO is a brand with years of experience in interior lighting. The design of this lamp is the work of the brand's in-house team, Faro Team, which ensures consistency between the visual concept and the final product.

Installation and specifications

To install this wall light, it is recommended to have a power outlet already prepared at the mounting point. As it is a surface-mounted luminaire fixed directly to the wall, the process is straightforward, but it is worth verifying that the wiring is correctly installed before starting. If you have no experience with electrical installations, it is preferable to call an electrician. The lamp accepts voltages between 100 V and 240 V, making it compatible with the standard electrical grid in Spain and most countries.

The aluminium body requires no special products for maintenance. A dry or slightly damp cloth is sufficient to remove accumulated dust. Avoid harsh or abrasive liquids that could affect the gold finish. Periodically check that the LED bulb is properly seated and that there are no signs of unusual heat around the socket.

Design and use

The FARO wall light has a very refined structure. The satin gold aluminium body serves as a support and connection point, but its visual presence is minimal. All the aesthetic weight falls on the bulb, which is left exposed and takes centre stage. This approach means the choice of bulb becomes part of the design: a filament LED, for example, adds a warm and decorative touch that complements the metallic finish well.

In the bedroom, this type of wall light works very well as a bedside light. By mounting directly on the wall, it frees up space on the bedside table and eliminates the need for loose cables on the surface. The compact scale of the lamp, with just 70 mm in height and 60 mm in depth, makes it suitable even in rooms where the space between the bed and the wall is limited.

In the living room it can be used to define specific areas: next to a sofa, above a console table or beside a bookcase. It is not designed to illuminate an entire room, but to create points of light that add warmth and visual structure to the space. Two symmetrical wall lights on either side of a central element give a neat result without requiring major changes to the décor.

In hallways, where space is often limited, this wall light is a practical solution. Its depth of 60 mm means it barely protrudes from the wall, preventing it from obstructing passage. At the same time, it provides enough light to navigate without relying on a ceiling fixture.

In the bathroom it can be positioned next to the mirror to achieve more even illumination across the face, without the shadows that overhead lighting typically causes. In spaces such as the kitchen or dining room, where functional and ambient lighting coexist, this wall light can complement other light sources without visually overwhelming the environment.

The satin gold finish harmonises with materials such as marble, linen, light wood or even concrete. It is not a bright gold that draws attention aggressively, but a more muted tone that integrates naturally into modern, minimalist or Nordic-inspired interiors. It also fits in more eclectic settings where different textures and finishes coexist.

Compatibility with E27 LED bulbs offers flexibility to adjust the colour temperature according to use. A warm light in the bedroom or living room, a more neutral one in the bathroom or kitchen, a cool one if greater visual precision is needed in a work corner. The lamp does not impose a specific atmosphere, but leaves that in the hands of whoever installs it.

The modern design and aluminium construction ensure that the wall light maintains its appearance over time without requiring special attention. It is a piece you choose once and that lasts without any trouble.

Questions and answers

Does the wall light include the E27 bulb or does it need to be purchased separately?

The bulb is not included. The wall light accepts an E27 socket with a maximum power of 15 W. A filament LED bulb is recommended to maintain the aesthetic of the design.

How much depth does the wall light take up once installed on the wall?

The depth of the lamp is 60 mm, meaning it protrudes just 6 centimetres from the wall surface. This is a very compact measurement, suitable for hallways and spaces with little lateral clearance.

Does the satin gold finish hold up well in the humid environment of a bathroom?

The body is made of aluminium with a satin gold finish. For bathroom installations, it is recommended to avoid direct exposure to splashing. A location away from the shower or bathtub is most appropriate to preserve the finish in the long term.
