Overview

The FARO wall light is a surface-mounted lamp designed for those who want something clean and free of unnecessary ornamentation. The bulb is left exposed, and that is not a design oversight — it is the intention. All the focus falls on it, and the result is a light point with its own character.

This wall light fits many contexts: a hallway where light is needed without taking up space, a bedroom wall next to the bed, a living room area that calls for a simple visual detail. Its matte white finish does not compete with its surroundings — it adapts to them.

FARO is a Spanish brand with years of experience in interior lighting. Its products combine aesthetic judgment with careful manufacturing, and this wall light is a good example of that philosophy.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, make sure to cut the power at the electrical panel. As this is a wall-mounted lamp, it is important to mark the anchor points carefully with a level before drilling. The wiring must be integrated into the wall or run through a conduit, as the lamp does not include a cable management system. If you have any doubts about the electrical connection, the most advisable course of action is to consult an electrician.

To clean the wall light, a dry or slightly damp cloth is sufficient. The aluminium with a matte white finish does not require specific products, but it is advisable to avoid those containing abrasives or solvents. The bulb is not included, so when choosing one, bear in mind that the socket is E27 and the maximum admitted wattage is 15 W.

Design and use

The body of this wall light is made of aluminium, a lightweight and durable material that holds up well over time without warping or losing its appearance. The matte white finish is uniform and does not accumulate shine that would reveal dust or everyday scuffs. With dimensions of 60 x 60 x 140 mm and a weight of just 240 grams, the lamp takes up little space on the wall and does not create a sense of bulk.

The design is built around a very specific idea: that the bulb should be the visual centrepiece. There is no shade, no diffuser, no structure to distract. This means the choice of bulb matters, and also that each person can adapt it to their taste, choosing an E27 filament bulb for a warmer feel or a standard LED for more functional light.

In the bedroom it works well as a bedside light. Installed at the right height, it creates a localised light point that does not flood the entire room. In the bathroom it provides targeted illumination above or beside the mirror, provided the installation complies with safety regulations for wet areas. In hallways, where space tends to be narrow, this wall light has an advantage over other options: it does not protrude, does not get in the way, and delivers just the right amount of light where it is needed.

In the kitchen it can be used to reinforce work areas or to visually mark a specific point in the room. In the dining room, installed on the wall next to a table or sideboard, it adds a nuance of ambient light that changes the perception of the space without any need to change the furniture. In the living room, this type of wall light is often placed in pairs or in combination with other light sources, creating layers of illumination that add depth to the room.

This wall light is compatible with a wide range of decorative styles. Matte white is neutral by definition, which allows it to coexist with light wood, concrete, tiles, walls painted in soft colours, or darker finishes. It does not impose a style — it adapts to the one that already exists.

The design was developed by the FARO creative team, a firm that has long been working on interior luminaires with a minimalist approach. This modern lamp is representative of that line: simple forms, free of ornamentation, with attention to detail in the finishes.

Questions and answers

Does the wall light accept any E27 bulb, or are there wattage restrictions?

The lamp accepts bulbs with an E27 socket and a maximum wattage of 15 W. Within that limit, you can choose whichever type of bulb you prefer, including LED options that consume less energy and offer different colour temperatures.

Can the aluminium body be installed in a bathroom?

Aluminium is a material that does not oxidise easily, but before installing any lamp in the bathroom you must verify that its protection rating is compatible with the specific area where it will be placed. This wall light does not indicate a specific IP rating in its technical data, so it is recommended to consult an electrician before installation in wet areas.

Is the bulb included in the package?

No, the bulb is not included. The lamp is delivered without a light source, so you will need to purchase one separately. The socket is E27 and the maximum admitted wattage is 15 W.
