Installation and specifications

For installation, the wall light must be fixed directly to the wall using the appropriate anchors for the surface type — partition wall, brick, or concrete. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially if there is no pre-existing junction box. Before starting any work, the power must be switched off at the electrical panel. The wall light accepts voltages between 100 V and 240 V, making it compatible with standard domestic installations in Spain and most countries. The E27 LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately, with a maximum power of 15 W.

To clean the aluminium body, a dry or slightly damp cloth is sufficient. Abrasive products or solvents that could damage the satin black finish must not be used. The glass shade should be cleaned with a soft cloth; avoid wetting the connection areas. Do not touch the bulb with unprotected hands, and always wait for it to cool down before handling it.

Design and use

The TATAWIN family was born from a specific reference: the traditional dwellings of Tataouine, in southern Tunisia, with their rounded forms and compact architecture. Designer Adolfo Abejón translated that geometry into a wall lamp that has something of its own, different from what is usually found on the market. It is not a generic wall light or a piece that tries to imitate other styles. It has a clear identity.

The body is made of aluminium, a material that combines lightness and strength. The satin black finish is neither glossy nor completely matte — it sits at a middle point that integrates well with painted surfaces, textured walls, or more rustic finishes. This wall light does not compete with its surroundings; it complements them.

The white opal glass shade is one of the most relevant elements of this lamp. The glass diffuses the light from the E27 LED bulb evenly, without the light source being directly visible. This prevents glare and creates a more pleasant light for the eye. In a bedroom, that type of light helps to create a calmer atmosphere. In a bathroom, it provides clarity without harshness.

The wall light has compact dimensions — 184 mm in length, 155 mm in height, and 140 mm in depth — allowing it to be installed on walls with limited available space. Does the white opal glass shade affect the amount of light emitted by the wall light?

The opal glass diffuses light rather than blocking it. It reduces direct reflections and softens the illumination, but does not significantly reduce the amount of light emitted by the E27 LED bulb. The result is a more uniform and pleasant light.

Is the satin black finish on the aluminium body resistant to scratches?

Aluminium with a satin finish is a durable material, but like any dark surface it can show marks if rubbed with abrasive objects. It is recommended to clean with a soft cloth to maintain the original appearance.

Can this wall light be installed in bathrooms or humid areas?

The product specifications do not indicate a specific IP protection rating, so it is recommended to install it in areas of the bathroom away from the shower or bathtub, where there is no direct contact with water or intense steam.
