Overview

SOLE is a wall light designed for those looking for more than a functional lamp. Its terracotta finish and ribbed structure make it a piece that catches the eye without being excessive. It can emit light to one side or both, allowing the direction of the lighting to be adapted according to the layout of the space.

This wall light fits well in a living room, bedroom, hallway, or even in a well-ventilated bathroom. Its compact size makes it especially useful where there is no room for a bulky ceiling lamp. The warmth of the terracotta color provides a calm atmosphere, without coldness.

FARO is a Spanish brand with a long history in interior and exterior lighting. It works with solid materials and takes care of both the visual appearance and the durability of each piece.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, make sure the area of the wall where it will be fixed is free from excessive moisture and that the electrical wiring is accessible from the mounting point. As a surface-mounted lamp, it does not require a recess in the wall, but does require a recessed junction box or an existing light point. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician. The GU10 LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately before putting the wall light into use.

To clean the body of the wall light, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the terracotta finish. Always disconnect the power before cleaning or handling the bulb. Do not touch the lamp while it is on or in the minutes immediately after turning it off.

Design and use

The SOLE wall light has a discreet but defined presence. Its ribbed body in a terracotta finish is reminiscent of natural materials without sacrificing a clean and contemporary form. It is not a wall light that goes unnoticed, but neither does it compete with the rest of the décor. It simply integrates easily into spaces where color and texture already take center stage.

The body is made of aluminium and steel, making it both lightweight and resistant. Its net weight is just 0.2 kg, so it does not require special anchors or thick walls to support it. Despite its small size — 100 mm high, 80 mm long and 65 mm deep — it has a notable visual presence thanks to its texture and color.

One of the most practical features of this wall light is the ability to direct the light to one side or both. This allows it to be used as general ambient lighting if bilateral emission is chosen, or as directed light if you prefer to illuminate only a specific area of the room. In a bedroom, for example, placed at bedside table height, it can function as a reading lamp without taking up surface space. In a living room, mounted on a side wall, it helps to balance the lighting without relying exclusively on a central lamp.

In the kitchen, a wall light of this type can be placed above a work area or in the space between tall units to add light without installing a complex structure. In the dining room, two units at the same height on opposite walls create balanced lighting and give a sense of spaciousness. The terracotta color combines well with light or dark wood, with neutral tones on the walls and with materials such as cement or natural stone.

In hallways, where the ceiling lamp does not always illuminate the ends well, this wall light solves the problem without taking up space. Its compact profile makes it suitable for narrow hallways where a bulkier lamp would be inconvenient. Also in the bathroom, if humidity conditions allow, it can be integrated as supplementary light next to the mirror or above the washbasin.

The use of LED technology through a GU10 socket guarantees reduced consumption with a maximum power of 8 W. Compatibility with voltages between 100V and 240V makes it suitable for use in different countries without the need for adapters. The wall light accepts modern LED bulbs that offer different color temperatures, so the final ambiance also depends on the bulb chosen.

The ribbed design is a detail that makes a difference. It is not a smooth or generic wall light — it has a texture that is noticeable from a distance and that is interesting up close. This type of finish is also resistant to small scuffs and everyday marks, which makes maintenance easier in frequently used spaces.
