Overview

SAVOY is a wall light designed for indoor lighting. It fits well in spaces where subtle yet characterful lighting is desired: a bedroom, a living room, a hallway, or even a well-ventilated bathroom. Its matte white finish and the textile shade in the same tone allow it to blend effortlessly into modern environments as well as more neutral settings where decorative detail matters.

What sets this lamp apart is the ring located at the top of the structure. Light reflects through that ring onto the wall, creating a clean and warm visual effect at the same time. It is not direct or harsh lighting, but rather one that distributes ambiance softly. It was designed by Isaac Piñeiro and is part of the FARO range, a brand with years of experience in home luminaires. FARO works with quality criteria in materials and finishes that are evident in the final product.

Installation and specifications

To install this wall light, the steel base must be fixed directly to the surface using appropriate anchors for the type of wall. If the wall is made of plasterboard or hollow material, it is advisable to use specific plugs for that support. The wiring must be integrated before closing the installation. It is recommended that the electrical connection be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially if the cable is to be concealed in the wall. The compatible voltage ranges from 100 V to 240 V, so it works with the standard electrical grid without an adapter.

The white textile shade can be cleaned with a dry or slightly damp cloth, without abrasive products. The steel structure can be cleaned with a soft cloth. It is advisable to disconnect the lamp from the power supply before cleaning it. The interior and the lamp holder must not get wet. The E27 LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately.

Design and use

The SAVOY wall light is built on a steel structure with a matte white finish. It is a material that provides solidity to the whole without adding excessive weight. The matte white avoids the reflections typical of a glossy finish and gives the light a more restful appearance that does not compete with other elements in the space. The textile shade reinforces that feeling: the fabric filters the light so that the result is soft, without concentrated bright spots.

The most striking element of the design is the upper ring. When the lamp is switched on, part of the light rises toward that ring and is projected onto the wall as a circular reflection. This creates a second plane of illumination that is neither on the floor nor on the ceiling, but right behind the wall light. It is a design feature that adds depth to the room without requiring any additional accessories.

In a bedroom, this wall light works well as a bedside light. Installed at the correct height above the nightstand, it provides sufficient light for reading without disturbing the rest of the room. It can also be placed symmetrically on both sides of the bed to achieve a balanced effect. In the living room, it can accompany a sofa or mark a secondary light point next to a mirror or a work of art. In the kitchen or dining room, this type of wall light is often used as a complement to the main lighting, adding a touch of warmth in transitional areas or next to the table.

In bathrooms and larger bathrooms, the white wall light fits well with light sanitary ware and neutral tiles. The location relative to the wet zone must be taken into account and the installer's instructions consulted. In hallways, the lamp provides sufficient light to navigate without needing a ceiling installation. These types of spaces, which often receive little attention in decoration, benefit greatly from a well-positioned wall light.

The lamp accepts E27 LED bulbs of up to 15 W. LED is today the most common option due to its low energy consumption and long lifespan. Since the bulb is not included, the buyer can choose their preferred colour temperature: warm light for cosier atmospheres, or neutral light for greater clarity. This flexibility means the same wall light behaves differently depending on the bulb used.

Isaac Piñeiro's design for FARO is modern without feeling cold. The combination of steel, textile, and that play of reflected light gives the SAVOY a character of its own that does not depend on passing trends.

Questions and answers

Does the SAVOY wall light include an E27 LED bulb?

No, the bulb is not included. The wall light is compatible with E27 LED bulbs of up to 15 W, which must be purchased separately.

How far does the wall light protrude from the wall once installed?

The depth of the wall light is 265 mm, so it protrudes approximately 26.5 cm from the wall surface.

What type of shade does the SAVOY have and how does it affect light quality?

The shade is made of textile material in white. It filters the light from the bulb and distributes it in a diffuse manner, without creating direct bright spots. In addition, the upper ring reflects part of the light onto the wall, creating a second luminous plane of a decorative nature.
