Overview

The RON wall light by FARO is a wall lamp designed for interior lighting in domestic spaces. Its structure combines metal in a dark grey finish with bamboo, giving it a contemporary character without being showy. The design is the work of Pepe Llaudet, and it shows in the details: fine lines, balanced proportions, and a white shade that distributes light gently.

It is a wall light that works well in different corners of the home — from the bedroom to the living room, through the bathroom or hallways. It takes up no floor space or bedside table space, goes directly on the wall, and keeps the environment tidy.

FARO is a Spanish brand with a long track record in the lighting sector. Its products combine functionality and careful design, intended both for those renovating their home and for those who simply want to refresh a specific corner.

Installation and specifications

For installation, the wall light must be fixed directly to the wall. It is recommended to anchor the base at a firm point — brick partition, concrete, or similar surface. If the wall is drywall, it is advisable to locate a metal stud or use plugs specific to that material. The lamp works with an E27 LED bulb of up to 15 W, which is not included and must be purchased separately. Electrical installation should be carried out by a qualified professional if you do not have experience with this type of work.

To clean the wall light, a dry or slightly damp cloth is sufficient. Do not use abrasive products or solvents, especially on the bamboo part. Avoid direct contact of the shade with water. Do not exceed the indicated maximum power of 15 W to avoid damaging the lamp or creating a risk of overheating.

Design and use

The RON wall light has a discreet but defined presence. The dark grey metal structure gives it visual solidity, while the bamboo adds warmth and breaks away from the coldness that metal alone can sometimes convey. The white shade completes the ensemble: it filters the light and distributes it evenly, without creating marked shadow areas or uncomfortable glare points.

This lamp adapts well to the bedroom. Installed at bedside table height, it allows reading or creating a relaxed atmosphere without needing a floor lamp that takes up floor space. In smaller rooms, where every centimetre counts, a wall light is a practical solution that does not interfere with the furniture.

In the living room, the wall light can work as supporting light or as a decorative lighting point next to a sofa, a bookshelf, or a reading corner. The combination of metal and bamboo fits with contemporary styles that mix natural materials with more industrial or modern finishes. It is not a lamp that imposes a specific style, but rather integrates effortlessly into different environments.

The bathroom is another space where this type of wall light finds its place, as long as it is installed in an area away from direct water and the safety regulations for bathroom lighting are observed. The soft light generated by the white shade is pleasant in that context: it is not harsh in the morning and does not look out of place at night.

In hallways, where natural light is often scarce, a wall light like the RON can solve the lighting without resorting to more cumbersome solutions. Its depth of 375 mm gives it enough presence to light the space well, but without protruding excessively from the wall.

The kitchen and dining room are also valid options. In the kitchen, as complementary light in a work area or next to tall cabinets. In the dining room, as a companion to a ceiling lamp, creating layers of light that make the space more comfortable at different times of day.

Bamboo as a material has a particular characteristic: each piece presents slight natural variations in texture and tone. This makes each lamp, to some extent, unique. It is not a defect — it is a characteristic inherent to natural materials that many people value precisely for that reason.

Pepe Llaudet's design maintains a fine and modern line without falling into exaggeration. It is a lamp that does not need to be the centre of attention to work well in the space. It does its job effectively and adds to the ensemble without distorting it.

Questions and answers

Does the RON wall light include the E27 LED bulb in the box?

No, the light source is not included. It is necessary to purchase an E27 LED bulb separately, with a maximum power of 15 W.

Is the bamboo part of the wall light treated to withstand bathroom humidity?

No special treatment for humid environments is specified. If installed in the bathroom, it is recommended to do so in an area away from direct water and outside splash zones.

How far does the wall light protrude from the wall once installed?

The depth of the RON wall light is 375 mm measured from the wall. This is an important figure to bear in mind if the available space in the hallway or next to the bed is limited.
